It's no secret that we love a little friendly competition here at Suffolk, and our people found just that at our recent Ops Ex Tournament of Champions final. This annual quiz show tests team members on their knowledge of Suffolk standards, with four finalists triumphing in their regional games — Northeast, South, West and Mission Critical — to compete live at our Boston headquarters for the title. Almost 1,000 people took the qualification quiz. Only one was crowned Ops Ex Champion. Events like this one and programs through Red & Blue University, our comprehensive suite of career development opportunities, form the foundation of our culture of learning. Thanks to Kelsie Pelli, Nicolina Attanasio, Ishani Shah, and Michael Piscitello for participating and showing what it means to be part of a world-class learning organization!

At Suffolk, giving back has always been part of who we are. In 2025, we turned that spirit into action with our National Volunteer Pledge: a promise for every employee to show up for our communities. This year, we’re challenging ourselves to go even further, with a collective goal of 20,000 volunteer hours nationwide. Together, we’re proving that when we care with purpose, our impact is powerful. Here's what that looks like. We hope it inspires you to join us and help make a mark in your community!

As we close out Women’s History Month, we’re proud to reflect on how our teams across the country showed up to support and empower women and girls in our communities. Highlights included volunteering with Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build in Estero, creating cards of encouragement for Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, and partnering with The Wonderfund in Boston to assemble thousands of period kits for teens engaged with the Department of Children and Families. Throughout March, our teams also came together through networking events, panels, and social activations to foster connection, mentorship, and allyship. Thank you to everyone who participated and continues to help build a more inclusive future in construction.

Construction is officially underway on Miami Starlite, a premier residential development in the heart of Brickell. Since breaking ground in January, the Suffolk Miami team has made strong progress, completing test piles and starting production piles. Permanent and temporary wells are also now in place, marking important milestones as we advance into the next phase of construction. Spanning approximately 800,000 square feet, the 39-story tower will deliver 517 residential units to the dynamic Brickell neighborhood. Future residents will benefit from nearly 16,000 square feet of curated indoor amenities, including a modern lobby, coworking spaces, fitness center, and dedicated pet amenities, multiple pools, and expansive outdoor lounges. We’re proud to partner with Focus, Group Fox Management and Gensler on this exciting project and look forward to bringing the vision to life.

In a recent Commercial Observer byline, Suffolk New York VP of Operations Aeran Doron, LEED GA, DBIA, WEDG, ENV SP explores why progressive design-build is becoming critical to delivering projects in New York’s increasingly complex construction landscape. Progressive design-build shifts key decision-making earlier, bringing owners, designers, and builders together from the start to align scope, pricing, and constructability before construction begins. This approach reduces risk, improves cost certainty, and helps teams navigate challenges like evolving program needs, logistics constraints, and public scrutiny more effectively. At Suffolk, we’re applying this model across our portfolio, including projects like the Hobart and William Smith Colleges Fish Center for the Sciences, where early collaboration and continuous cost validation are driving smarter, more predictable outcomes. Speed to market is a critical priority for Florida’s healthcare providers as they work to improve access to care. To meet this need, many are developing smaller, neighborhood-based facilities that mimic larger standalone hospitals, and out-of-state healthcare systems have taken note. Vice President, Operations Kyle Goebel has the details on how Suffolk is helping clients navigate this challenging landscape. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/erEfEPXB

Suffolk's Healthcare team was proud to attend the ASHE PDC Summit 2026 in Houston, hosted by the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE). This event gathers senior leaders in healthcare planning, design and construction to connect, exchange ideas and discuss strategies that are advancing the future of healthcare environments. We were also excited to cohost a happy hour with Schneider Electric and ADE_Systems at a nearby restaurant, bringing together industry partners for meaningful conversations and new connections. It was a great opportunity to engage with fellow healthcare leaders and continue building strong relationships across the industry. Thank you to all those who joined us.

Suffolk Estero was proud to participate in Florida Gulf Coast University’s inaugural AI Day, which brought together leaders across academia, healthcare, business, public safety, and government to explore the real-world impact of artificial intelligence. Suffolk Site AI Engineer Cary Greenwood participated in the panel on AI in Community and Business Applications, sharing insights into how Suffolk's use of AI is driving efficiency, safety and speed on our jobsites. Suffolk's ongoing collaboration with FGCU reflects a shared commitment to advancing technology and creating meaningful opportunities for the Southwest Florida community.
