How do you reach millions of families with accurate information under circumstances that are changing by the hour? When the government shutdown disrupted SNAP benefits last fall, state agencies had to make decisions with limited information, while families didn't know when or whether they’d be able to put food on the table. In our next #SNAPForward session, a state agency and cross-sector partners who led the response will share how they mobilized to keep people informed, got emergency cash out the door, and how the infrastructure built during the shutdown applies to SNAP and Medicaid changes now unfolding. 📅 April 7, 2026 | 3:00 PM ET 🔗 Register here: https://lnkd.in/em27Gabx Featuring: Brian Patrick Hogan, Sarina Jain, Stacy McLoughlin Taylor & Joël McClurg MS #SNAP #Medicaid #PublicBenefits #GovTech #CrisisResponse #HR1

During National Nutrition Month®, an annual campaign sponsored by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, we’re excited to partner with Sasha Chamberlain, MS, RDN to help SNAP households “Discover the Power of Nutrition.” In this video, shared across our social media channels, she empowers Propel users to enjoy fruits that work for them. Fresh, frozen, canned, and dried fruits can all be healthy choices when shopping on a budget. Recently, Propel has also invited featured users to share their favorite healthy recipes, snacks, desserts, beverages, and cooking or shopping tips. Elevating their lived experiences is another way we’re helping make healthy eating feel more achievable for SNAP households. At Propel, we’re proud to support families with evidenced-based information that helps them make the most of their benefits and their health. You might have seen a recent post (https://lnkd.in/einnKewi) by our Dave Guarino, about how Propel users are engaging with state benefit portals. But, adoption is not the only metric that matters–engagement is critical too. How do #SNAP clients experience their state’s portal? We asked. #SNAP clients told us their experiences vary widely–in one state, 69% of respondents thought the state’s E & E portal was “very easy” to use, in another, just 32% thought that. That gap has real consequences for clients and states. When families struggle to navigate their portal, they miss benefits they're entitled to. Agencies see higher call volumes, more errors, and more churn at renewal. In the era of #HR1, those outcomes matter more than ever. Curious where your state lands? Reach out to gov@propel.app and we'll let you know what your clients told us about your state's portal–and where you rank among your neighbors. #SNAP #PublicBenefits #GovTech #HumanServices

State #SNAP & #Medicaid agencies: let’s talk! At Propel, we’ve spent 10+ years building for our shared clients, helping families in need access their EBT balances, plan, save, and find new jobs. We serve more than 1 in 4 SNAP recipient households, and they check their Propel app 14x/month on average. Today, with new pressures on the system, we feel the best way we can help those we serve already is to work directly with the states that serve them. We’re partnering with state agencies to address some of your most critical challenges: Payment Error Rates, work requirements compliance, call volume, client communication. If you need to get more out of your existing infrastructure, reach out to gov@propel.app. We can send a brief outline of the solutions we’re developing, or set up a meeting. We’ll help you reach your clients where they are – let’s discuss what we can build together. #GovTech #PublicBenefits #HR1

Three former state government leaders built working AI tools for SNAP and Medicaid administration—policy experts acting as their own engineers! On March 5 at 3pm ET, they're demoing them live. You'll see an AI assistant that supports caseworkers during SNAP interviews in real time, a Medicaid community engagement screener, a localized impact reporting tool, and more. This is the first session of #SNAPForward, a new learning series from Propel for government agencies navigating change under HR1. We're heading to the 2026 State HIT Connect Summit in New Orleans next week. It’s our first time and we’re excited to show what we have to offer. Five million SNAP and Medicaid recipients already rely on Propel to check their benefits, track their EBT balance, and navigate the programs that keep their families stable. Now we're turning that reach into direct state partnerships—helping agencies deliver targeted member communications, support community engagement compliance, and guide people through Medicaid redeterminations. Your members already use Propel. Now you can too. Our team will be on the ground all week. Look for Stacy McLoughlin Taylor, Lexi Gervis, Ph.D., & Toral Patel at Booth 53—or reach out (gov@propel.app) to learn more. #StateHealthITConnect #Medicaid #HealthIT #PublicSectorModernization #SNAP #GovTech #HumanServices

Exciting news! Our CEO, Jimmy Chen, ranked 25 spots ahead of Taylor Swift on Forbes' 250 Greatest Living Innovators list 🎤 We’re not saying he’s dropping a surprise album next... but we are saying that innovation for families on the safety net is officially chart-topping 😉 Jokes aside, this list spans icons from Calvin Klein to Jeff Bezos to David Geffen, which makes it even more meaningful to see someone building technology to strengthen the social safety net included among them. At Propel, we believe technology should make the safety net more accessible, more responsive, and more human. We’re proud to build alongside a leader who constantly pushes us to think bigger about improving access, stability, and dignity for families across the country. We just made our first-ever Director of State Ventures hire. Here's why it matters. Propel serves more than 5 million SNAP recipients every month. On average, people who use the app open it every other day. Now we're channeling that reach into direct partnerships with state agencies to help them meet new challenges. Meet Lexi Gervis, Ph.D. — our new Director of State Ventures. We sat down with her to talk. Three things stood out: 1. The interests of states and recipients have never been more aligned. States are redesigning systems across the board. The success of those changes depends on reaching people where they already are. That's Propel. 2. The biggest unlock is getting people to act at the right time. Whether it's change reporting, work requirements, or recertification — the gap between what states need recipients to do and what actually happens is where benefits get lost. Propel closes that gap. 3. States don't have to pay for this. Propel's business model means we can partner with states at no cost — especially critical as states face a reduced SNAP administrative cost share. Read the full Q&A → https://lnkd.in/evmmz_xq If you're a state SNAP or Medicaid leader, email us and we'll send you a brief outline of how we can help you meet your needs: gov@propel.app #SNAP #HumanServices #GovTech #Benefits #StateGovernment
