PJS Electric, Inc. has been providing quality and cost-effective electrical construction services to the New York Metropolitan area for over 20 years. We are a NYC licensed, Local 3, IBEW contractor with extensive experience and capabilities in the construction of all industrial electrical installations ranging from high voltage DC substations to sophisticated access control and security systems. We employ 100% union labor and have a highly capable staff of engineers, project managers, and associated support staff.

    2026 Inspire Excellence Summer Internship Spaghetti Tower Challenge was held on Thursday July 30th in the home offices of PJS Group. The challenge consisted of a team-based engineering competition designed for interns and early career professionals at the Company. It is one of a series of activities our interns engage in over the summer, each designed to provide a practical application of engineering concepts and networking & social opportunities at the Company and in the construction industry. In this year’s challenge, teams acted as design-build contractors and were tasked with constructing a freestanding tower from limited materials. The tower is judged on height, stability, schedule performance, material efficiency, constructability, engineering explanation, and jobsite discipline. The challenge was an overwhelming success with Team #3 bringing home the victory and is now in solid possession of bragging rights until next year’s program, brings another challenge for our interns to tackle. All employees of the Company are proud of our interns and wish those returning back to school after this week, the best of luck and continued success at their respective Universities. Lastly, for those interns who are transitioning to Full Time roles @PJSGroup, Congratulations and Welcome Aboard!

    The work that keeps New York City running doesn't always make headlines – but it should. Hallen Integrated Construction Services, along with Hallen Construction and PJS Electric recently completed a major transmission infrastructure project in Queens, NY, delivering a new 3.5-mile underground 138kV circuit connecting two critical substations within New York City's electric system. Constructed over approximately one year, the project was executed through 100% open-cut excavation in one of the most complex and congested underground utility environments in the world. Despite numerous challenges, the team remained focused on safety, quality, and execution, successfully meeting a critical schedule milestone. As one of the nation's most densely populated load pockets, New York City requires continuous investment in electric infrastructure to support growing demand and maintain system reliability. This new circuit will help increase capacity and support future load growth throughout the region. This achievement reflects the professionalism, perseverance, and expertise of the HICS team, whose commitment to delivering a high-quality product made this project a success. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this important project to completion.
