Lasting health starts with behavior change — and is accelerated by the right clinical tools. Today, we announced our acquisition of Tailor Made, a licensed 503A pharmacy. This marks Noom’s first major acquisition and our largest investment to date in healthy aging. By bringing pharmacy capabilities in-house, we can more deeply integrate prescription-grade interventions into our behavior-change platform, while expanding our formulary beyond weight health. Be sure to read our CEO’s statement below and check out the podcast interview for more on the strategy behind Noom’s expansion beyond weight into healthy aging. You can also check out the press release here: https://lnkd.in/eXPcb7xu #Noom #HealthcareInnovation #preventivehealth

Noom acquired Tailor Made pharmacy today (❗) because while weight may be the entry point to preventive care, it’s not the end point. Beyond weight, eight other conditions define how well you age: energy, muscle health, stress and mood, gut health, hormonal balance, skin health, inflammation, and sleep. What's remarkable about all eight conditions is that pharmacologic intervention alone is not the answer – and neither, for many, is behavior change. The breakthrough is in the combination — when the right medication becomes an accelerant for the lifestyle change that makes it last. Tailor Made is a 503A pharmacy licensed in 46 states and Noom’s first ever major acquisition. Today we move 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 into the non-acute, high-salience conditions that define healthy aging for hundreds of millions of people. Dr. Warner Slack of Harvard Medical School called the patient "the largest and least utilized resource in healthcare." Noom was built to fix that. By making healthy choices easier, we build durable health by 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁. Now with Tailor Made’s pharmacy integrated alongside at-home diagnostics and wearable data, Noom can deliver on the promise of Med 3.0: the most data, the best lifestyle support, the most lasting outcomes. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘄? Just last month, the HHS Secretary confirmed what many have long expected: the grey-market in research-grade peptides is, thankfully, at its end. The responsible phase is beginning. The acquisition today readies us for this future. Sermorelin, NAD+, and the neuropeptide oxytocin are early examples of a new frontier in preventive medicine. With government action to expand this list to include other peptides, like BPC-157 and CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin, regulated pharmacies like Tailor Made become critical infrastructure to meet accelerating patient demand. What enables today’s acquisition is Noom’s growth. 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝟵𝟬% 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿. We believe continued expansion into healthy aging is critical to sustaining that trajectory — and to fulfilling our mission: to empower everyone, everywhere to live better longer—every day. I am thrilled to collaborate with Tailor Made's talented CEO Ross Jordan, JD, MBA, and I am grateful to the talented Noom and Tailor Made teams for all they have built and now will build. And ... 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 👋 to the 200 new employees who joined the Noom family today! Together we will create the future of preventive care. For much more on the acquisition and on Noom, listen to my interview today with Jonathan Stern on the must-listen 𝗛𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 podcast: https://lnkd.in/eaCMiP_r #preventivehealth #healthyaging #Noom

Noom Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jeffrey Egler joined leaders at last month's Integrative Healthcare Symposium in New York City to discuss the role of AI in modern care delivery. One theme that stood out: the biggest opportunity in healthcare isn’t just better visits, it’s everything that happens in between them. On a panel with Ashley Koff RD, Midi Health's Joanna Strober, and Bioinsights' Travis Bond, MD, MBA, Dr. Egler shared these insights: • 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. One of healthcare’s biggest gaps is what happens between visits. Noom’s model uses augmented coaching to provide continuous support, helping address the drop-off seen even at leading institutions - particularly among GLP-1 patients. • 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤. Noom leverages AI to deliver real-time guidance and support when human coaches aren’t available. By embedding behavioral and habit science into technology, Noom enables personalized, always-on interventions at scale. • 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 + 𝐀𝐈, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐀𝐈 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞. Clinicians act as expert curators - asking the right questions, providing context, and guiding decision-making. A human-in-the-loop model ensures oversight while unlocking AI’s full potential to enhance patient care. Check out a moment from the panel below!

GLP-1s are not a weight loss solution. They're a catalyst. That was the framing from Geoff Cook, CEO of Noom — and it was one of the most talked-about ideas at the Stanford Consumer Health Innovation Summit. This is post 1 of 10 where I'll be sharing the biggest takeaways from the conference. Here's the data: 11 out of 12 people stop taking GLP-1 medications by year 3. And when the medication stops, absent lifestyle change, the weight comes back. So where do people go when the drug stops working? A full third of people signing up for Noom are now former GLP-1 users. They're not looking for a drug alternative. They want what the drug gave them — a feeling of control, self-efficacy, and forward momentum — to become permanent. Geoff's thesis: GLP-1s temporarily reduce food noise and open a window. What you do inside that window — building habits, routines, identity — is what determines whether the change lasts. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀: the behavior change infrastructure is the product. Medication is the on-ramp. Over the next four weeks, I'll be sharing a full breakdown of why we launched the conference, what we learned, and a playbook for recreating it. "You're beautiful at any weight, but when you [address the root causes] of obesity and [excess] weight, you're treating yourself to extra years of vitality and longevity - it has nothing to do with how you look and everything to do with how you feel." Noom's Medical Director Karen Mann MD appeared onstage at the 4th annual Let's Talk Women's Health & Wellness Symposium in Newark, NJ. Alongside panelists Vanessa Freeman, Vanessa Rissetto, MS, RD, CDN, Sheila Sahni, MD, FACC, FSCAI, and Saira A. Jan, she spoke about the truth surrounding weight loss, and the intersection between GLP-1s, nutrition, and healthy habits to build a sustainable lifestyle plan for long-term change. Because sustainable change starts with better conversations about health.

Noom Medical Director Karen Mann MD was interviewed by Let's Talk Women's Health & Wellness ahead of their Symposium this Saturday. As covered in New Jersey Family, Dr. Mann shares how Noom’s products use evidence-based approaches to help people build sustainable habits that last a lifetime. She finds it “nourishing to be able to help people in a holistic way.” “We're living in a reality where medication is a key tool in helping people manage their weight. It's not about appearance [alone]. Medications may reduce adverse cardiovascular outcomes, protect kidney function, and help break the 'food addiction' cycle. They are always prescribed along with a comprehensive lifestyle program that includes behavior change,” said Dr. Mann. 🔗 Read more here: https://bit.ly/4row6oH
