On Aug. 28, 2026, the Artemis II crew – NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, and CSA (Canadian Space Agency) astronaut Jeremy Hansen – received the Congressional Space Medal of Honor from President Trump. https://lnkd.in/dfBD4QBC Through the Artemis program, we will send astronauts on increasingly difficult missions to explore more of the Moon for scientific discovery, economic benefits, and to build on our foundation for the first crewed missions to Mars.

When Caroline Griffin was in high school, she was given a tour of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. The clean room technicians waved to her while they worked on the James Webb Space Telescope, and the experience inspired her to pursue mechanical engineering and work at NASA one day. Today, she is one of the engineers who worked on the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, set to launch on Aug. 30, and she likes to wave to the students observing the clean room — in the hopes of inspiring their careers, as well.
