This was a first! Ringing the NYSE Opening Bell from the INDYCAR track in Washington, D.C. All summer, our nation’s capital has been at the center of celebrating America’s 250th birthday. This weekend feels like a fitting culmination. The Freedom 250 Grand Prix will bring INDYCAR racing to the National Mall for the first time, turning some of the most recognizable streets and landmarks in America into a stage for speed, competition and innovation. We spend a lot of time considering how sports and live events can create shared experiences, bring visitors into our city and showcase Washington to the world. It is hard to imagine a better backdrop than this one. Monumental Sports & Entertainment is proud of our role in making this weekend happen in partnership with INDYCAR and Penske. Honored to join the NYSE this morning and excited for this weekend’s extraordinary celebration of America’s 250th here in Washington.
