🍊 Happy Vitamin C Day! 🍊 Did you know? Vitamin C does more than support your immune system — it also helps your body better absorb iron, which is key for keeping your energy up and your body strong. Try pairing iron-rich foods like spinach, beans or lean meats with vitamin C-rich veggies like bell peppers and broccoli. Add a squeeze of lemon to your meal for an extra boost! These simple combos can help your body get the most out of the nutrients you eat. Small changes can make a big impact on your health — one meal at a time. #VitaminCDay #HealthyHabits #NutritionTips #IronAbsorption #EatWell

Molina Healthcare of Washington was proud to participate in this year’s Sound Careers in Healthcare career fair! This free event connected hundreds of high school students from across Snohomish, King and Pierce counties with health care professionals and educational institutions to provide information on career pathways. In Washington, 30 of 39 counties are experiencing shortages of health care professionals. Molina is working with the next generation of Washingtonians to show them the opportunities available in health care and prepare the state's future workforce. Thank you to all the hosts for a great event: Washington Alliance for Better Schools, UW Medicine Center for Workforce Inclusion and Healthcare Equity, and Healthcare Industry Leadership Table. #MolinaHealthcareOfWashington #MolinaWA #HealthCareJobs #CommunityEducation

Molina was happy to celebrate the grand opening of the Skamania Kids & Youth (SKY) new Teen Center, a youth-led space designed to provide local teens with a safe place to spend time and engage with others. The mental health of 10th graders in Washington state is improving, and spaces like the SKY Teen Center help foster and promote social connection, improve access to mental health resources, and support the kinds of positive experiences that can bolster these outcomes. We're proud to support the important work of community partners who share our commitment to improving the lives of Washingtonians. Kidney stones are more common than you might think — and they can be very painful. The good news? Simple habits can help lower your risk. 💧 Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. You can also include citrus drinks like lemon or orange water, which may help prevent stones. 🥗 Eat a balanced diet: Focus on fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. Limit salt, sugary drinks and highly processed foods, which can increase your risk. If you experience symptoms like severe back or side pain, nausea, or blood in your urine, talk to your doctor. Taking care of your kidneys is an important part of your overall health. #NationalKidneyMonth #KidneyHealth #KidneyStones #StayHydrated #HealthyLiving #PreventiveCare

#DoYouKnow what endometriosis is? In women, the uterus is lined with a certain kind of tissue. Endometriosis is a chronic condition in which tissue similar to that found in the uterus grows outside of it. This often causes pelvic and stomach pain, heavy menstrual periods, pain and other symptoms. In some cases, it can even cause fertility issues. There is currently no cure for endometriosis, but symptoms can sometimes be managed with certain medications or surgery to remove the endometriosis tissue. If you experience any symptoms of endometriosis, talk to your primary care doctor or gynecologist about testing and treatment options. #EndometriosisAwarenessMonth #Endometriosis #WomensHealth #DYK
