  • You're shipping faster than ever. Your testing probably hasn't kept up. We've just added Mixpanel experiments and feature flags to our Free and Growth plans to help you change that. Since they're both designed for how you build with AI, teams of all sizes and workflows can now find an opportunity, spin up a test, read the results, and ship the winner, all in the same place your data already lives. • Building for AI agents means rethinking how we deal with product data. At Mixpanel, this is what our engineers built: Mixpanel Headless. It’s a Python SDK that turns every metric, cohort, and feature flag into a typed object so AI agents can run the whole analytics stack straight through code. Here's what that unlocks: - Automated Guardrails: Agents watch funnels and auto-archive risky flags if conversion drops. - Continuous Auditing: Background scripts track retention and drop alerts right into Slack. - Deep Analysis: Agents dig into drop-offs and run root-cause investigations on their own. By pairing AI reasoning with reliable, deterministic Python execution, our team is building the infrastructure for agents to act like actual teammates. Come build with us! • 80% weekly happiness score! What we learned, and shipped, since GA has been fun to watch. 👏

Mixpanel Agent has grown to be a huge part of how people use Mixpanel. We've been hard at work since the launch and it just keeps getting better. Every piece of feedback, every edge case, every feature request helps shape it around how our customers want to work. Super proud of what our team built! I wrote up what we've learned along the way. • As AI keeps shrinking the gap between idea and shipped feature, your team is racking up more metrics than ever, with less time to watch any single one of them. That's the job Mixpanel's KPI Monitoring agent was built for. You pick the metric, set a daily, weekly, or monthly cadence, and it keeps a watchful eye on the number, then delivers a digest to Slack or email that tells you what moved and what deserves your attention. The metric comes to you, with context, instead of waiting for you to remember to open a dashboard. It's already available (like AI root cause analysis), and the monitors you set and forget are exactly the ones worth revisiting. Pick the KPI you check most and let the agent do the work. ▶ Kevin Wilson walks through the setup below, with complete details here: https://lnkd.in/g5wx2Ej6

  • A quick reminder, because this one still catches people by surprise. When a metric moves in Mixpanel, the "why" doesn't have to wait for any one person. Anyone can launch root cause analysis from a report or an alert, and it comes back with the segment, the behavior, and a next step, ranked by impact and labeled by confidence. You get answers and potential solutions in minutes instead of waiting all afternoon. It works in tandem with KPI Monitoring, tracking flags the moment a metric moves outside its normal range. Root cause analysis explains why. It's already live for customers, and the walkthrough below is the quickest way to see it in action. ▶️ Watch Evan Layman run one start to finish, then go deeper here: https://lnkd.in/gdBsE3Jx

  • We couldn't agree more. Standing up AI on your data warehouse is the easy part. Pricing it is where teams get surprised, and usually not in the place they were watching. The real numbers here will really get you thinking.

I've had the same conversation with countless customers this year. Someone gets excited about pointing an AI agent at the warehouse. It works in the first demo. A few weeks later, someone asks why the numbers don't match, or why the bill jumped even though nothing changed. As a Solutions Engineer, what I've noticed is that the real cost isn't the AI or the warehouse. It's the gap between them. Every question starts from zero and gets billed like it's the first time anyone's asked it. There are 5 costs stacked into this: queries and pipelines, AI tokens burned on retries, governance gaps when teams define the same metric differently, dashboards that never look the same twice, and the real price of "real-time." I walked through the math behind each one.

  • AI has made it easier to ship. It hasn't made it easier to know if you should have. Every feature you ship without testing is a blind bet. Agentic development just means you're making more of them faster. The teams pulling ahead have made testing the check on every change before it reaches users at scale. Joy in Community—that was the theme our Mixability CRG brought to life all July long for Disability Pride Month. 💜 The month kicked off with an all-hands meeting catered by disability-led kitchens in both our San Francisco and London offices. From there, the celebration kept going: a Love on the Spectrum lunch watch party, virtual volunteering with C.A.M.P. University designing visual recipe cards for neurodiverse individuals, and a month-long book club reading "How a Guide Dog Helped Me See Myself," supported through our Learning Stipend. Each event was its own kind of joy, and together they point to something bigger: building an inclusive workplace means creating space for community, learning, and celebration all year, not just one month. Mixability is a big part of how we make that real. To our Mixability CRG and everyone who joined in this month: thank you for the joy you brought to our community.
