Updates

  • "Indiana Farm Bureau appreciates the continued efforts of President Trump and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin to reform diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) regulations, including removing DEF sensor requirements for diesel equipment. This announcement, made during the Great American Agriculture Celebration at the White House, is expected to reduce equipment downtime, lower repair costs, and improve overall efficiency for farmers. INFB also supports Representative Victoria Spartz (IN-05) on her recently introduced H.R.7849, the Farm Equipment Safety Act. The legislation would exempt off-road farm equipment from burdensome emissions regulations, helping address cost and maintenance challenges associated with current system. As farmers prepare for the spring planting season amid continued tight margins, policies that support reliable and cost-effective equipment operation remain important. Together, these actions reflect a broader effort to address regulatory challenges impacting Hoosier farmers. Indiana Farm Bureau is happy to support these practical regulatory and legislative solutions that will help ensure our farmers can continue to efficiently produce the food, fuel, and fiber that support communities across Indiana and beyond." - INFB President Randy Kron
