The Dallas County District Courts’ new General Order on summary judgment practice introduces a significant shift for businesses and individuals involved in lawsuits. Effective March 2, 2026, motions for summary judgment must be filed at least 90 days before trial or risk automatic denial absent leave of court. The rule overrides scheduling orders and agreements and requires earlier strategic planning. In this Gray Reed Legal Alert, Gray Reed Associate Reid Burley highlights key considerations and what this means for Dallas County cases. https://lnkd.in/g7fm-kfp
