Non-Earth imaging is redefining how activity in orbit is observed and understood. In partnership with HEO, this example highlights how commercial imaging can deliver visibility into on-orbit assets at increasing scale.
Crossing 5,000 successful non-Earth imaging missions. We define one mission as one successful observation of a spacecraft — whether it's captured in a single frame or hundreds. From some of our earliest missions capturing the Chinese Space Station taking shape on orbit to where we are today, our capability is compounding and we're proving commercial non-Earth imaging at scale. Customers across governments, national security, and commercial space can understand what's happening on orbit from imagery taken in space. The next 5,000 won't take nearly as long. Second photo of the Chinese Space Station taken with our partner BlackSky.

Understanding activity requires more than daytime visibility. Nighttime imagery captures artificial illumination and movement after dark, helping build a more complete picture of how an area operates across all hours. By observing patterns of life, organizations can better identify change, detect anomalies and understand activity that would otherwise go unseen. Human activity does not stop after sunset, and space-based intelligence shouldn't either. Learn more about how BlackSky supports persistent monitoring: https://lnkd.in/gbRkhajY

BlackSky signed a seven-figure Assured extension contract with an international customer. Reliable Gen-3 performance over the customer’s priority areas of interest during early access programs for 35-centimeter imagery and AI-enabled analytics is driving the transition to larger annual subscriptions, reflecting momentum against the company’s land-and-expand strategy. “Assured is more than access to capacity. It’s about guaranteed collection fulfillments that provide certainty for mission critical operations. Assured has become a foundational part of our customers’ daily tactical ISR activities,” said BlackSky CEO Brian O’Toole. “Annual, recurring commitments for Assured represent a positive, natural evolution as early access programs pivot into long-term customer relationships across our expanding international portfolio.” Read the full release: https://lnkd.in/gSikrMWD

BlackSky has successfully commissioned its fourth Gen-3 satellite in less than one week following launch, opening general availability of our next-generation constellation capabilities to customers worldwide. With four Gen-3 satellites now on orbit, customers can directly task daytime, twilight and nighttime collections, accessing best-in-class 35 cm imagery and AI-enabled analytics through the BlackSky Spectra® platform. Speed matters. Rapidly bringing new satellites online helps organizations monitor activity, respond to emerging events and compress the decision cycle. The image below, captured on 9 March 2026 at 9:44 A.M. over Gqeberha, South Africa by the newest Gen-3 satellite, shows the type of clarity available across the constellation.
