That partnership helped bring a new Regional Water Treatment Plant into operation, serving all three communities and replacing aging treatment facilities in Braintree and Randolph. Apex has helped guide the project from early planning and design through permitting, procurement, and construction. Along the way, our team supported PFAS testing as regulations evolved, coordinated public outreach and permitting, reviewed designs, and provided construction administration and resident engineering services. We’re proud to share that Apex has received a 2026 Excellence in Environmental Engineering and Science Honor Award in the Small Projects category from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES) for the Mighty Argo Cable Car Upper Landing Wastewater Reclamation Facility in Idaho Springs, Colorado. This innovative project supports the Mighty Argo Cable Car destination more than 1,300 feet above Idaho Springs, where traditional wastewater infrastructure simply wasn’t an option. This compact containerized treatment system delivers reliable wastewater reclamation and water reuse in a challenging remote mountain environment while minimizing its environmental footprint.
