Cindered Shadows DLC
The Cindered Shadows is a story DLC available for Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Available on February 13th, 2020, Cindered Shadows is a side story event that focuses on a hidden fourth "house" lurking below Garreg Mach Monastery - in a place known only as Abyss.
Players will be able to explore this secret underground area, a shadow below the Monastery, and meet four characters that belong to a house called the Ashen Wolves. These former members of the Officer's Academy choose to live underground - but are lacking a teacher to guide them. The DLC will feature new missions and story apart from the main two parts of Three Houses, and includes new units, weapons, and classes.
Due to the nature of the Cindered Shadows Side Story, Units you use in this DLC will level up, but their skills will not increase. Units are also able to reclass - but only to a preset amount, as they cannot undego certifications. Items like ore can only be gained by winning battles and using armor breaks on monsters. Byleth's Sword of the Creator will also automatically restore as you explore.
How to Access the Cindered Shadows Side Story
As the Cindered Shadows is a side story, it takes place outside of the main game - and by progressing through its story, you will then be able to bring these new students into the main story as recruitable characters, which will unlock new classes, quests, paralogues, and other activities exclusive to the DLC.
Once you have access to the Season Pass, you'll find a Side Story option in the main menu, which will begin this path alongside your other save files.

Cindered Shadows Story Walkthrough
This section will be updated with a walkthrough and guide for the new story section available in Cindered Shadows. The story does not follow the usual month-to-month flow as the rest of the game, as it takes place sometime after the Rite of Rebirth in Part 1, outside of the main story.
