Dwarf is a playable race in Baldur’s Gate 3. This guide will provide an overview of this race, including Dwarf race features, skill modifiers, and subrace options in BG3.

“As durable and unyielding as their homes of stone, dwarves are some of the finest warriors, miners, and smiths of Faerûn.”

This race has specific features, including:

  • Base Racial Speed: You can move 7.5m per turn.

In addition to Dwarf race features, the Gold Dwarf has the following subrace feature:

  • Dwarven Toughness: Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and increases by 1 again every time you gain a level.

Shield Dwarf Features

In addition to Dwarf race features, the Shield Dwarf has the following subrace feature:

  • Dwarven Armour Training: You have Armour Proficiency with Light and Medium Armour.

Duergar Features

  • Superior Darkvision: Can see in the dark up to 24m.
  • Duergar Resilience: You have Advantage on Saving Throws against illusions and against being Charmed or Paralysed.
