I did, for nearly two years. I very recently decided to check back in on the current state of Linux and try my hand at building a PC. It was a hard decision, with love for the foldable form factor on one hand versus the open source software I prefer on the other.

Placing value on information density is a matter of preference. I can resize the windows and change font size if I want to see more text. I personally prefer less clutter.

But it's true that someone who simply wants maximum multitasking and to see as much information at one time as possible would be better served by investing in an ultrawide monitor.

What you say is true of Huawei's tri-fold, but it’s not true of Samsung’s. Samsung’s expected design for the "G-Fold" opens more like a restaurant menu or a science fair poster board than the accordion style you're referring to. It needs to be either fully opened or fully closed.

Here in the US, Samsung’s tri-fold is the only option on the horizon, so that's why it's the only option I mention.

Your phone should continue to work with any carrier it already works with, but I haven't used Google Fi personally to say for sure. I can say I've had positive experience using LineageOS with both AT&T and T-Mobile, plus MVNOs based on them like Red Pocket and Mint Mobile.
