In modern-day gaming, it is very rare that you see a game launch in a completely playable state that also has no bugs. While it is almost inevitable that a few bugs will slip through the cracks, what is important is how good the game's support is post-launch.

Even though there are games like Borderlands 4, where Randy Pitchford will blame players' "old hardware" for their poor optimization. There are also cases like Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which are delivering regular patches to get the game in the best state as fast as they can.

Luckily, Lost Soul Aside falls in the latter category, as it has only been 4 days since their last patch, and a new one is already out that addresses some awkward bugs while also optimizing gameplay.

As for the reviews on Steam, it had Mixed reviews at the time of writing this article. While most of the players are happy about the gameplay, the main concerns are around the game's optimization and poor performance, or how the gameplay loop can feel too simple and repetitive.

Considering the frequency of their updates, if the developers could just improve the performance on PC, it won't be long before Lost Soul Aside jumps from mixed to more positive reviews on Steam.
