Hey everyone! First off, I want to apologize for how little I have been on lately. Things with life have become pretty overwhelming. My life is getting ready to take a pretty drastic change, and I am not sure what the future looks like now.

Like just about everyone, I have been pretty seriously affected by the pandemic. Our bird shows have been canceled left and right. We have one that we are desperately hoping will open. I have been trying to come up with alternative ways to earn money for us and the birds, so I created a Patreon for us.

In other, also pretty crappy news, not only has the pandemic taken a toll on us, this year in general has just been so unkind. In March, my vulture, Godzilla, started going through an odd neurotic, self destructive behavior. We spent thousands of dollars that we don't have, and many hours at the vet trying different methods to keep her from doing more damage, but in the end she was horribly miserable and suffering. I had to make the difficult choice to put her down in June.

Just before I had to put her down, our Doberman, Torvi, also got sick. She tested positive for Lyme Disease, but had a few other unusual symptoms. We started treating her for the Lyme, but a few days later, her condition took a turn for the worst and I had to rush her to an emergency vet, where she passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly of Congestive Heart Failure. Losing her hurt so bad. Still does...

A few weeks after losing Godzilla and Torvi, one of the horses on the ranch I live on also started to decline in health. She contracted Anaplasmosis from a tick bite. At the age of 30, she tried hard to fight it off, and for a while she was doing ok. In the end, she drastically got worse overnight and passed away. She was one of the first horses I learned to take care of, and I used to ride her often when I was learning how to ride. She was such a nice horse, with a lot of spunk...

Now onto my last "fun" tidbit. While my vulture was sick, and just after Torvi had passed away, my husband and I broke up. Things between us have been tense, and they finally came to a breaking point. I haven't told a whole lot of people, and not many people that I know in person are on my DeviantArt page, so I feel l pretty comfortable saying it here. We will be working together for a little while, but I will eventually have my own bird show and will be figuring things out.
