Philip Doust shared thisWHAT. FUN. Feels good to say that as gamescom 2026 draws to a close. Yes, the numbers were fantastic for us and continue to grow. Yes, we introduced wonderfully rich IP from China AND the West to new audiences for the first time, proving out our business model and connecting worlds. Yes, we featured three trailers on ONL and two on Future Game Show. Yes, we had fantastic support from our western partners such as IGN Entertainment, Future and XBOX, to name a few. But honestly, sat here right now, I can say this is the most fun I’ve had in my career. Say what you’re gonna do, plan it, deliver it. Thank you to our wonderful studios - NEKCOM GAMES (Showa), Hoothanes (Defiant), Genigods (Nezha), Eschatology Entertainment (Guns of Eschaton), CangMo (JinYiWei) and SwordPandaGames (Sword Sage Awakening) for showing up and delivering. And thanks to the thousands of fans who packed our booths every day to get a look at our games. After all, that’s what this is all about. Special mention to Markus Wilding for his relentless professionalism and sheer bloody mindedness to pull off something of such magnitude, with a team of 1 and me bugging him every day for 6 months. And to our partner support teams - Renaissance PR (Stefano Petrullo), UberStrategist, ICO Partners, Black Soup, PLAYSENSE, Achievo (Zoran Roso 🔜 Gamescom), Trusted Events GmbH. And finally, thank you to our sponsor XPG Global without which none of this would be possible. 2027…? Too soon, but sure.

This really is the big one, 4Divinity Pte Ltd are bringing 6 titles to Cologne this month, 4 on the show floor across two locations and a significant presence at the business centre. Special shout out to Trusted Events GmbH for their continued professionalism and support to deliver a truly exceptional physical space, and Markus Wilding 🔜 gamescom dev for pulling this whole thing together. Cant wait for this one, gonna be a heck of a show. https://lnkd.in/e7-2wgxWGCL’s Subsidiary 4Divinity to Showcase Six Titles at gamescom 2026GCL’s Subsidiary 4Divinity to Showcase Six Titles at gamescom 2026

Philip Doust shared thisGuns of Eschaton is here. Today we unveiled the announcement trailer for Guns of Eschaton. This game carries extra weight. It's the final world, the final vision, of Viktor Antonov, the visionary art director behind Half-Life 2 and Dishonored, who sadly passed away in February 2025. Guns of Eschaton represents the culmination of his life's work in design, atmosphere, and storytelling, brought to life by the team at Eschatology Entertainment. We're proud to partner with Eschatology Entertainment to bring this brand new IP to market. At 4Divinity Pte Ltd, our model is built to move great games both West and East, and this title proves it. Philip Doust shared thisA fantastic preview from IGN Entertainment highlights their recent trip to China to experience the game first hand. This is shaping up to be a true east to west story in the making, exactly what we have been building. https://lnkd.in/ezXbMzhQSword Sage: Awakening is an Action-RPG that Breaks the Rules of Soulslike Combat | IGN PreviewSword Sage: Awakening is an Action-RPG that Breaks the Rules of Soulslike Combat | IGN Preview

Explore a stunning world where Chinese mythology, folklore, and science-fiction collide in Sword Sage: Awakening. The next instalment in 4Divinity Pte Ltd's portfolio, with many more updates coming soon! Stay tuned. https://lnkd.in/ec7Bd5tr

Philip Doust shared thisRealm of Ink is live on Steam, Epic, PS5, Xbox and Switch. This one's been a really fulfilling publishing exercise. Leap Studio built a beautiful ink-art roguelite that found its core audience in China during Early Access, 90% of EA sales, 94% positive reviews, a community that genuinely loves the game. It's indie at heart, small team, real craft, but the ambition was always bigger than that. This is our first opportunity to run the East to West thesis. Let the pre-launch period prove out the game with its domestic audience, then build globally around the 1.0 and console launch. Kuoda came on board to drive the Western push across NA, EMEA and LATAM, and it's been paying off, US overtook China in weekly wishlist adds for the first time last week. Five simultaneous platform launches is no small undertaking. But when the game's this good, you want it everywhere at once. Massive thanks to the 4Divinity Pte Ltd crew, to Kuoda for the Western engine, and to @Leap Studio for making something special. Let's go. https://lnkd.in/ekfEQ9JX

After receiving strong community support during Early Access, we are excited to announce the full version, which will feature a special crossover character from 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗫 available on all platforms at launch. There’s much more to come for this game in the upcoming weeks and months, so stay tuned! Philip Doust shared thisI’ll be at GDC Festival of Gaming again this year 👋 We'll be hosting meetings to showcase the 4Divinity Pte Ltd portfolio, representing cutting-edge studios from China and how we’re bringing their games to Western markets as well as meeting with partners to develop long-term engagement strategies across regions. We’re also open to conversations with Western publishers looking for support in Asia, China in particular, through our regional business vertical. If you’re attending and would like to connect, we're open for meetings, feel free to reach out and set something up. See you in San Francisco!

Philip Doust liked thisPhilip Doust liked thisgamescom & gamescom dev 2026 – what an incredible week it has been! I’ve been home for 24 hours now and finally had time to reflect. I’ve been to every gamescom since its inception as “Games Convention” back in Leipzig in 2002 – but none came close to the intensity of this year. It started with gamescom dev, organized by game events GmbH, my first and oldest client. So much was new this year, from the name to the leadership, with Frederik C Hammes proving a worthy successor to the legendary Stephan Reichart 🔜 gamescom dev. The conference hit a record 6,200 attendees, up 15%, and I had the honor of hosting the gamescom dev awards. I got to present the Ambassador Award to Amir Satvat and take part in the official send-off of the person who played a significant role in my decision to start my own consultancy. Thank you for everything, Stephan! Meanwhile, the five booths I was responsible for were entering their final build stages... including my very own. The 24 hours before gamescom opened to the industry were among the most stressful and intense I’ve ever experienced. Last-minute challenges, creative solutions, things coming down to the wire... cloning myself would have been very useful. But seeing the reactions from clients, press, and partners as they entered the booths made it all worth it. The business days were a blur. With booths in halls 2, 4, 6, 7, and 10, I had fewer meetings than ever (sorry for everyone I missed this year!), but definitely more steps. Then came the weekend: thousands of visitors checking out the four games in 4Divinity’s beautiful booths, and the incredible atmosphere around the Dead by Daylight fan experience. A massive thank you to my clients 4Divinity Pte Ltd and Behaviour Interactive, especially Philip Doust and Eric Pope, for entrusting me with your gamescom presence. Thank you Wolcen Studio, Dlala Studios, Blizzard Entertainment, and Pantaloon. for joining the inaugural Beyond the Wall Consulting booth. And thank you, gamescom dev team, for trusting my input and feedback for almost two years now. I'm still a one-man army (although the last week has finally shown me that this needs to change), but none of this would have been possible without my partners Black Soup, Goldloewe GmbH, 👁️ ICO, Renaissance PR LTD, Trusted Events GmbH, UberStrategist, Marco Rastig and his team, Zoran Roso, and so many others who helped make the madness manageable. Thank you. I’m so very tired, but my heart is full, and my head is already spinning with ideas for gamescom 2027. But first... VACATION!

Philip Doust liked thisPhilip Doust liked thisgamescom 2026 was an absolute whirlwind. You know it was a wild, high-octane week when you walk away with tens of thousands of steps, a voice hanging on by a thread, and exactly one single photo to prove you were actually there. That lone snapshot happens to be with the awesome team at Bambaa, and honestly, keep them on your radar, because you should expect great things from them very soon! I somehow managed to miss literally every other photo opportunity across the entire floor, but while my camera roll is surprisingly empty, my head is overflowing with new ideas and inspiration. Taking the stage at gamescom dev alongside Jean-Marc Broyer 🔜 D.I.C.E. Athens was a true highlight, and I couldn't have asked for a better co-speaker to share the spotlight with. Beyond the panels, this week was all about the incredible community and network that keeps this industry moving. A massive thank you to my partners and clients for all the fantastic conversations, brainstorms, and strategy sessions throughout the show: • 4Divinity Pte Ltd: Philip Doust & Markus Wilding • Achievo: Roland Fauster, Daniel Pelikan & Stefan Wehler • Nex: Tim Stokes 🔜 IFA, Thomas Kang, Paul Dixon, Mahesh Ramachandra, and so many more from the crew • Trusted Events GmbH: Stefan Kinner • Daedalic Entertainment GmbH: Carsten Fichtelmann, Jonas Hüsges, Martin Ditter 🔜 GC, PAX West, Bernd Berheide, Dominik Heineccius, Ayumi Wegner & Maximilian Bernardi And a very special debt of gratitude to Felix Falk for kindly providing me with a home base at the event, having a welcoming sanctuary amidst the gamescom madness was an absolute lifesaver. gamescom 2026 was insanely busy, incredibly intense, and deeply gratifying. I’m heading home energized by the sheer volume of brilliant people I got to connect with and ready to turn all these conversations into action. Now, time to catch up on some well-deserved recovery in the Austrian alps! #EventRecap #Networking #EventLife #Inspiration #GamescomRecap

Philip Doust liked thisI'm still processing the magnitude of everything that happened this week. From last Sunday and the opening of gamescom dev, to the absolutely mad final setup on Tuesday, to the relentless three days of business from Wednesday to Friday, and finally watching thousands of gamers queue to play games in booths I've been working on for months. It's still a bit of a blur, with the exception of one thing that's very clear: It's all been worth it.

Philip Doust liked thisPhilip Doust liked thisWith less than a week to go until gamescom, I can finally talk about the other main reason I've been very busy those last few months. In addition to project managing the gamescom presence for 4Divinity Pte Ltd and another client I will talk about soon, I'm very happy to say that this year for the first time, I'm an exhibitor myself! I'm humbled that five clients and partners have decided to have their gamescom B2B presence at the Beyond the Wall Consulting booth, and while I can't spoil who they are at this point, I can proudly share my booth design. Shoutout to the amazing team at Trusted Events GmbH for designing and building this beauty with and for me. Come visit us in Hall 2.2, booth D018 to find out more!

Really enjoyed speaking with Jack Benjamin at last week’s Connected TV World Summit. For a 15 minute conversation, we packed a lot in including how BBC iPlayer will be doubling down on serving British content to British audiences as a means of remaining relevant in an ever evolving market, our stance on collaborating with partners and why, for once, I’m excited about football.
