Damien Bernet shared thisA great example of how brands and our most iconic stories can come together in authentic creative ways. Stella Artois × The Gentlemen: a unique Netflix partnership brought to life across multiple markets.Damien Bernet shared thisI'm absolutely thrilled to announce the launch of our multi-market brand partnership between AB InBev's Stella Artois and The Gentlemen S2 which brings the iconic, premium beer brand into the aristo-swagger world of The Gentlemen. “The Gentlemen's Serve", developed by GUT Amsterdam in collaboration with Netflix Brand Creative Studio, and anchored by the show's leading man, Theo James, alongside Stella Artois global ambassador, Sir David Beckham, is a nod to the ritual and precision shared by both worlds: how a Gentleman handles his business, and how Stella handles its pour. The 360° partnership will come to life through custom content, sponsorship of the new season on Netflix, plus social, influencer and experiential activations and for the collectors out there, a limited-edition Chalice available at retail. More info on the link below. It’s been a joy to work with Tim Ovadia André Finamore Amaral Isa Delai Katie Almas and the rest of the amazing team at Stella Artois to bring this global partnership to life and of course, huge props to the Dream Team at Netflix that made it all happen Robert Arrowsmith Paul Lynch Ted Knight Craig Adams Maja Vukomanovic Sascha Hak Rikesh Desai Maxime Derrien Eleni Charakleia Jordan Peters Lindsay Shaffer Steven Molinari Annika Patel.

Damien Bernet liked thisDamien Bernet liked thisThis is what it looks like when a brand partnership feels like part of the story, not a break from it. Today, we’re launching The Gentlemen’s Serve, bringing Stella Artois into the stylish, high-stakes world of The Gentlemen alongside Theo James and Sir David Beckham. No shortage of handsome on this one. Built around the precision and ritual of the perfect Stella Artois pour, the campaign extends beyond the screen through custom content, social storytelling and fan experiences across eight markets. It also marks the first multi-market activation from Netflix and AB InBev’s global partnership. A huge congratulations to the teams at Netflix, AB InBev Stella Artois, GUT Amsterdam and JKR who brought this world to life with the right mix of craft, authenticity and well-tailored swagger, with just a hint of criminal intent. 2025 #Media Industry Outlook report: Media business models hit hard by the ‘attention economy’ In September 2025, the European Commission presented the second edition of the Media Industry Outlook report, which overviews the state of the media market since 2019 for the news media sector, the audiovisual, video games and extended reality sectors. The report shows that the news media sector is now embedded in the attention economy and faces growing pressures, including massive loss of revenues, the rise of Artificial Intelligence (#AI) and changing news consumption habits. The ongoing shift in attention economy benefits online platforms which capture audiences and market shares. Changing news consumption habits News consumption has not disappeared but has shifted to digital and shorter content. European citizens primarily consume news appearing on their online social media before turning to media outlets. However, #PSM remain the perceived most reliable source of information in all EU member states, with the exception of Hungary and Poland – where citizens rely more on private sources of information. Weakened #trust in media Despite current challenges and the spread of disinformation, European news is still perceived as reliable with 87% of Europeans consuming news daily and 34% weekly. This perceived reliability does not translate into subscriptions and 66% of Europeans are not willing to pay for news. While we expect people who do not consider media outlets as trustworthy to avoid them, data show contrary evidence. Among those people, 41% consume news from professional media outlets, while 29% turn to social media platforms, which highlights paradoxical patterns in the attitudes towards media. ‘Platformisation’ of the sector The development of AI has profoundly transformed the industry by providing endlessly available content. The competition between actors is reinforced because newsrooms can’t equally invest in AI infrastructures and tools. This gap might increase in the next few years with the need for technological skills expected to grow. Existing licensing agreements between media outlets and AI systems lack transparency and might feed dependency of local and small publishers, seeking costs reduction. The spread of AI goes along with the spread of poor quality information online. Overall decline of revenues The unfair capture of revenues by online platforms structurally affects the market and puts media outlets economic viability at risk in nearly all EU member states. As a consequence, the employment rate decreased by 7,5% between 2021 and 2023 . The report highlights concerns for local and small media outlets, which tend to rely more on philanthropic donations, public grants and European funds. They are the most at risk! May all multiplatform TV and audio ad sales companies join this move and ask their industry partners to help "turn down the toxic". This means giving them reasons to do so and providing them with solid alternatives... This should not be a problem...

Global TV Trends 2026: What Comes Next? Conference session at World Content Market – Moscow in April Speaker: Alexey Korlyakov, Head of Format Acquisitions & Research,TNT Broadcasting Network This conference session at World Content Market – Moscow explores the major tectonic shifts shaping television in 2026 and asks the question many in the industry avoid: are we heading toward an irreversible decline, or does linear TV still have a viable future? Key discussion points include how broadcasters worldwide are approaching younger audiences (and whether it still makes strategic sense), the “democratization” of content production and why it may make some traditional roles less relevant, and what “next-generation” content looks like—supported by concrete examples and recent success cases. A dedicated segment will examine YouTube’s rise as the dominant force in digital video and why even traditional players are increasingly developing content specifically for this platform. Our next markets: World Content Market - Moscow 2026 (14-16 April 2026, Amber Plaza Hall) World Content Market - Almaty 2026 (29-30 September 2026, Novotel Almaty City Center) #worldcontentmarket #televisionmarket #digitalcontent #content #b2b #televisiondistribution #TVindustry #TVbroadcasting #Television #Contentindustry #TVcontent #TVseries #Contentdistribution #Contentproduction

For years, contribution and distribution were treated as plumbing — move the bits, keep it reliable, stay invisible. But that invisibility is disappearing. As audiences fragment and platforms multiply, delivery has become strategy. Every stream, every handoff, every microsecond of latency now defines the viewer experience — and the business model behind it. Hybrid infrastructure is the new normal: a mix of cloud, edge, and intelligent routing that flexes with demand. Mobile-first formats, regionalised delivery, and personalised streams aren’t nice-to-haves anymore — they’re the front line. We’ve crossed a quiet threshold where distribution isn’t just how content gets out — it’s what gives it value. The broadcasters winning today aren’t shouting about content; they’re quietly mastering delivery. The smart pipes are finally getting the recognition they deserve. And for the engineers who’ve spent years in the dark, building the backbone of modern media — it’s about time. 📖 Worth a read: https://lnkd.in/ekrHAYJB

Tune in to Trust: Radio’s Future in the Digital World On 4 November, EU policymakers and commercial radio leaders gathered at the European Parliament for AER’s event “Tune in to Trust: Radio’s Future in the Digital World” to discuss the future of radio in an evolving digital media landscape. Radio remains Europe’s most trusted medium, but it faces mounting challenges: declining advertising revenues, increased gatekeeping power of global platforms, and the need to modernise regulation. The discussions highlighted the importance of ensuring radio’s accessibility, discoverability, and resilience. Key Messages from the Speakers Sunčana Glavak (MEP): “Radio is not nostalgia – it is part of our civic infrastructure… We must protect trustworthy media so that future generations grow up with reliable voices, not just the loudest ones.” Stefan Möller (AER President): “Europe must create a regulatory framework that ensures radio remains accessible, discoverable, and free of charge across all platforms and devices.” Anna Herold (European Commission): Radio needs strong media legislation and policy measures to safeguard its role in crisis communication and democratic resilience. Daniela Beaujean (AER): “We need radio to be ‘one click away’ on all digital platforms… Without clear rules, radio risks being pushed to the margins.” Corinna Drumm (AER): “Radio must remain free, accessible, and safe to use in cars – even in times of crisis.” Adina Vălean (MEP): “Radio is not a relic – it is essential… Technological neutrality must guide policy to preserve media pluralism.” Marcos Ros Sempere (MEP): “In an algorithm-driven media ecosystem, radio has remained the most trusted source of information.” Luka Duric (AER): “When citizens say ‘Play the news’, they should hear Europe’s voice – not the choice of a global algorithm.” Cynthia Ní Mhurchú (MEP): “Local radio is the heart of our communities… We must invest in its future and ensure its accessibility and resilience.” The event brought together a broad group of MEPs and Commission officials, underscoring the political importance of the discussion. A Call to Action: The message to EU decision-makers was clear: radio must remain easily accessible and discoverable in the digital environment – for the sake of democracy, diversity, and the public interest. 📈 U.S. Ad Market Continues Strong Momentum in Q2 2025 The U.S. advertising industry is showing no signs of slowing down. According to new estimates from Madison & Wall, ad revenues (excluding political spend) grew by 10.3% in Q2 — continuing a strong run of growth seen in six of the last seven quarters. 🔹 Digital advertising continues to lead the way — up 15.8% and holding steady at roughly 70% of total U.S. ad spend. 🔹 Growth is likely fueled by a wave of digital-first brands, many of which have highly ad-intensive models. IRS data even suggests some e-commerce players spend 4x more on advertising per dollar of revenue than traditional retailers. 🔹 CTV is gaining ground, even as overall TV advertising (including national, local, and CTV) declined 1.7% in the quarter 🔹 Outdoor advertising rose 3.6%, while audio and publishing saw slight declines. 🔹 Direct mail posted a modest 0.8% gain. Looking ahead, there are some headwinds — including tariff-related risks that could impact digital platforms in particular. Still, projections for the full year remain optimistic: 💰 2025 Forecast (Excluding Political Advertising): Total ad spend: +8% to $417.5B Digital media: +14% to $293.8B Total TV: -3% to $62.3B The shift to digital is accelerating, and marketers are adapting fast. Access Entertainment president Danny Cohen argues that UK television must undergo radical consolidation to regain investor appeal. He says US tech and streaming giants now dominate the global media landscape, making legacy UK TV companies less attractive. Cohen, whose firm invests across film, TV, theatre, gaming and digital creators, notes that economic pressures and wider macro factors are pushing investors away from traditional studios, networks and production companies. https://lnkd.in/gRHS8p_6
