For many UK organisations, the conversation is moving from: “Do we have the right security controls?” to: “Can we continue operating if a critical system, supplier or cloud service is compromised?” That means looking beyond firewalls and endpoint protection to: ➡️ Identity and privileged-access management. ➡️ Immutable and tested backups. ➡️ Supplier and third-party risk. ➡️ Recovery time and recovery-point objectives. ➡️ Incident-response rehearsals. ➡️ The resilience of critical business services. Andrew M. shared thisThe memory crisis isn’t just hitting servers, PCs, and storage anymore — it’s now hitting consumer electronics too - especially gaming :/ Some of the top Steam Machine engineers from Valve corporation have said retail memory prices are lagging the bulk market by around 3 to 6 months, and that things are “still getting worse.” In plain English: the pain we’re seeing now may only be the beginning. For businesses, this matters. If consumer devices, gaming hardware, and mainstream electronics are already feeling the squeeze, then enterprise IT is not going to be immune — especially when it comes to RAM, SSDs, and other storage-dependent kit. The lesson is simple: don’t wait for pricing to “settle down.” If you know you’ll need hardware, refreshes, spares, or project stock in the next few months, start locking in pricing and securing supply now rather than hoping the market improves on its own. After noticing I was running low on branded water bottles that I give away to clients and Cars On Screen users, as well as the "guess the car" competition, I placed an order to replenish supplies. The numbers made much more sense when ordering in bulk, so I decided to go all in and doubled the order at the last minute! The result? 300 new bottles unpacked and ready to go: 100 clear, 100 black and 100 metal. They'll soon be available through the Cars On Screen website's new Merchandise section, alongside pens, keyrings and stickers, either individually or as part of a bundle. Now that the unpacking is done, all that's left is to find a nice long drive and make the most of the air conditioning in this weather! 🥵🚗 #newstock #merchandise #waterbottles #branding #marketing

I always thought the greatest thrill would be seeing our work displayed live, and whilst that is a great joy and privilege, I found the true honour to be standing alongside our clients and partners, watching as the public got their first chance to go hands-on. Experiencing the unconstrained excitement fans expressed when they and picked up the controller, and the genuine warmth and appreciation they showed reminds us all why we love this industry so much - the making and playing of exceptional games, and sharing our love of the art form with others. I can’t wait to return with Trish Garcia-Tuohy 🔜 GamesCom 🕹️and Luke Butland 🔜 GamesCom 🕹️ and have another chance to share it all with special friends new and old. Congratulations to all our partners for a fantastic show.

I shared a post last night by a good friend on here John Davidson (relating to motorcycles) and it got me thinking. As we get older our outlook on life and abilities over time change. We don't see it coming, it often creeps up on us. The 80s, 90s and 2000s were a whole different era. No ABS, no power steering, sketchy handing and to be fair looking back cars were quick but nothing compared to today's standards, when we can buy a car with 700bhp from a showroom. I think we got away with a lot back then, no ANPR, roads were quieter, no social media and fewer distractions in the car. I consider myself to be a good driver through lessons learned over time. (OK that might be debatable 🤣) Looking back, on several occasions I nearly didn't go home, one instance being in a 90mph crash in my 205 1.9 GTi. After rolling it three times on a country road I luckily walked out with a minor cut on my head. Luck was on my side that evening, thanks to a seat belt. I believe the hot hatch era more than likely encouraged drivers to speed on the road, enter the turbocharged era! We had a passion for cars, regular meet ups at a weekend, a race down the bypass and a blast down a country road, overtaking everything in our path. It was more competitive back then, as in we could modify cars ourselves, none of this "plug a computer in" We'd swap an exhaust and add a filter on our Renault 5 GT Turbo, hoping it would beat our mates Escort RS that evening. The joys of rooting around a scrapyard at a weekend, for something that didn't even fit our car, but we'd make it fit! At different ages, we have a different outlook. Teens - We are invincible, not a care in the world, no respect for other road users. late 20s - we still think we have it in us, and we'll show the young lads. 30s - priorities change, good job, Mrs, kids time to slow down a bit. 40s - can't be arsed, the penny drops. 50s - too much to lose, family first, we aren't what we used to be. 50s+ let's ride this out sensibly, luxury and comfort are a must, a quick blast now and then for old times sake when it's safe to do so. At the same time cars gave us something to focus on, they kept us away from crime and allowed us to expose talents we never knew we had whether it be driving or fixing them. If we couldn't swap an engine and box on a Saturday afternoon outside our house on the main road, in time for the Saturday night cruise, there was something wrong! 🤣 Is there anything you could add to this?

Because I’ve seen this happen. The person naming the problem suddenly gets labeled difficult, emotional, or “not a team player.” Toxic workplaces don’t always fall apart because people are bad at their jobs. They fall apart because the wrong people get protected. And the person who finally says, “This isn’t right,” somehow becomes the problem. If you’re in that kind of environment, be smart. Don’t over-explain. Say what needs to be said and stop. Don’t react in the moment. That’s usually what they’re waiting for. Pay attention to patterns... Who gets blamed? Who gets protected? Who benefits when everything stays messy? And document what you observe. Dates. Emails. Decisions. Conversations. Not because you’re trying to start a war. Because memory gets challenged when accountability shows up. Healthy workplaces deal with problems. Toxic workplaces deal with the person who exposed them. Don’t confuse silence with safety.
