I don’t think people wake up wishing for more payment options. I am a consumer and I do not think that at all. I want to or need to buy something and that is all... Purchasing is the goal, payments is just a vehicle.
What we actually want is less stress, more control and financial tools that fit into real life: not make it more complicated, simple simple simple. (Life is complicated, rest should be simple)
That was one of the things I talked about in my recent conversation with Xraised
BNPL is just part of the story. Start of Twisto, A Param Company story but NOT where we are leading.
What really matters is building financial services that are genuinely useful in everyday life: whether that’s simplifying checkout, reducing friction for merchants, or rethinking areas like corporate cards and B2B payments.
With PSD3, PSR and the “cancellation button” coming, a lot is changing. But the core question stays the same: how do we keep improving financial services without adding more complexity?
Thank you to Rosalie Wessel and the Xraised team for having me.
