At the Watches of Switzerland Group PLC, we’re incredibly proud of the talent growing within our workshops, and this conversation between our CEO Brian Duffy and silversmith apprentice Ronnie Meek brings that to life. Ronnie’s journey began with curiosity and quickly grew into a genuine passion! Fast forward to today, Ronnie is nearly two years into a five-year apprenticeship, developing his skills alongside a team with over 200 years of collective experience. His story reflects not only dedication and hard work, but also the importance of mentorship, curiosity, and perseverance in building a career. Since joining WoSG, Ronnie has embraced every opportunity to grow - taking on new responsibilities, refining his craft, and contributing to a culture built on collaboration and shared ambition. As Ronnie puts it: “The best thing about working at WoSG is the people and culture - there is a genuine sense of teamwork, support and shared ambition. 🌟 Yesterday marked the proud launch of our first Retail Sales Academy – an exciting milestone in our commitment to developing the next generation of sales talent across the Group. Delivered in partnership with SR Apprenticeships, this Level 4 programme is designed to equip our Retail Sales Consultants with the skills, confidence and commercial mindset to excel in a luxury retail environment. Over the next 15 months, our colleagues will combine hands-on experience with structured learning, enabling them to: ✨ Build meaningful, long-lasting client relationships ✨ Lead the sales journey with confidence ✨ Deliver exceptional client experiences ✨ Drive strong and sustainable commercial performance Supported by line managers, mentors and dedicated coaches, this programme goes beyond development – it’s about unlocking potential and shaping future leaders within our business. Meet Zeeshan, our Tax Accountant 👋 Joining a business straight out of university can be daunting,  especially when it’s your very first corporate role. Zeeshan joined Watches of Switzerland Group PLC shortly after graduating and has since been building his career within our Finance team. From stepping into the world of tax for the first time, to progressing towards becoming a fully qualified Chartered Accountant, Zeeshan’s journey so far is a brilliant example of how our people grow with us. What really stands out is the culture. Feeling supported, included, and valued - not just for the work you do, but for who you are, is something Zeeshan speaks passionately about. He also highlights the importance of supportive leadership, and the positive impact his line manager, Becky, has had on his experience since joining.
