How would you feel if your child murdered someone? "My Child Killed" is Fawkes Digital's latest six-part YouTube series from Hearst Networks EMEA, exploring the lived experience of parents whose children have been convicted of murder or manslaughter. Fronted by Yinka Bokinni, it's a gut-wrenching watch and is the culmination of months of graft from the brilliant series producer Elaine Stoneham, stunning camerawork from Matt Kerins and edit from Amber Baird. But aside from the impactful storytelling, we're most proud of the duty of care protocol we've wrapped around the series. YouTube projects can get a bad rep for duty of care, but under Elaine's direction and commissioners Sam Pearson and Diana Carter's support, this project has ensured utmost wraparound support for both the crew and contributors, with an extremely thorough casting process with watertight consent, dedicated counselling for everyone involved and a whole-crew duty of care training session with Catch Yourself | Coaching, Training & Speaking under the expert guidance of Camilla Wells Coaching and Rebecca Norris, legal and compliance support from Clare Hoban, and continued aftercare. The first episode is now live (link in comments below), with the following five set to drop in Q1 2026.
