About us

The iconic Grade II* listed Battersea Power Station and surrounding area is being brought back to life as one of the most exciting and innovative mixed-use neighbourhoods in the world. The Power Station is NOW OPEN to the public for the very first time. It is at the heart of one of central London’s largest and most visionary new regenerations, which sees this vast 42-acre former industrial brownfield site transformed into a community of homes, offices, retail, dining, community facilities, cultural venues and 19-acres of public space, serviced by a Zone 1 extension to the Northern Line underground service. The overall project is divided into seven phases with each phase to be designed by a range of architects, including Frank Gehry and Norman Foster, and is anticipated to be completed in 2025. Battersea Power Station is at the cornerstone of Nine Elms, the single largest regeneration site in central London and the capital’s up-and-coming diplomatic quarter with the US and Dutch embassies relocating to the area. Situated on London’s famous cultural South Bank and within a few minutes’ walking distance of Chelsea and Westminster, the development has created a sustainable and vibrant community in its own right, generating employment opportunities and investment in the surrounding area. • What an incredible evening!   As part of Apple’s 50th anniversary celebrations around the world, we were proud to host a spectacular live music event with Mumford & Sons at Battersea Power Station last night.   The renowned folk rock band from South London performed a selection of their classics alongside tracks from their new album. Also taking to the stage was multi-award-winning DJ, producer, singer, and songwriter, Nia Archives.   Throughout the month, Apple is commemorating this milestone around the world, with each gathering highlighting human creativity and ingenuity in action, and a showcase of the remarkable things people can do when they have the right Apple products in their hands.

Sam has been with Battersea Power Station for over 10 years and has played a central role in the transformation of the estate, helping guide the project from development through to launch and operation. He brings outstanding regeneration, asset management, placemaking and marketing expertise, as well as a strong track record of leading complex, high-profile developments. As we move into the next phase of growth, his experience and leadership will be instrumental in continuing to strengthen the destination and delivering on our long-term vision. We wish him every success in the role.”   James Saunders, incoming CEO of BPSDC, commented: “I am delighted to be taking the reins at such an iconic project at a pivotal moment in its journey. Battersea Power Station is experiencing remarkable growth and is now firmly established as one of London’s leading destinations, as well as being at the start of an exciting new phase of development. Having been a Wandsworth resident for over a decade, it is particularly meaningful to be involved in shaping the future of such an important local landmark. • It was a ‘bumper’ day at Battersea Power Station yesterday!   We welcomed more than 80 local schoolchildren dressed as their favourite Mr. Men Little Miss characters for World Book day, which also marked the start of ‘A Station of Stories’, a year-long celebration of storytelling supporting The National Year of Reading, a UK-wide initiative designed to inspire more people to make reading a regular part of their lives. The children enjoyed a fun packed morning of activities including a Mr Men Little Miss trail with characters hidden throughout the Power Station, live draw-along sessions with official Mr Men Little Miss author and illustrator Adam Hargreaves, and immersive read-along moments that brought the beloved stories to life. Plus, Mr. Bump and Little Miss Sunshine made a surprise visit to our offices. The launch was covered by BBC London News, BBC Radio London and The Daily Telegraph to name a few.   Plus, we hosted the start of the 20th annual Knight Frank Cycle to MIPIM. The charity bike ride sees a group of property professionals embark a 4 or 6-day ride down to Cannes in the South of France for the annual industry conference, in aid of Club Peloton's charitable projects. Wishing all of the riders all the best for their journey!
