What is your favourite aircraft and why?

That’s a very tricky question. I have flown more than 50 types and variants – including the DC-3, II-96, Tu-154, and Let L-410 – and have always enjoyed going out of my way to seek them out. I especially love commercial props and pistons – the noisier, the better. My favourite modern jet is probably the A350.

Why do you love aviation?

I have been obsessed with aviation for more than 30 years. My Dad got me into it. We would often go to the airport together – and once aviation gets into your blood, it stays there!

What is your industry focus?

I look at what is happening with routes anywhere globally. I love it. I can spend hours exploring developments, seeing what is changing and why, and examining new opportunities.
