  • On Wednesday, Simple Flying's Victor Jamet-Larsen had the incredible opportunity to step on board Air Canada's brand-new Airbus A321XLR for an exclusive, first-look tour. The A321XLR is a massive game-changer for narrowbody, long-haul travel. Getting a firsthand look at how Air Canada is configuring this aircraft to balance efficiency with top-tier passenger comfort was spectacular. A huge thank you to the entire Air Canada team for the warm hospitality and the phenomenal access. The full exclusive feature, gallery, and leadership interview will be live on Simple Flying soon—stay tuned! 📢 #Aviation #AirCanada #Airbus #A321XLR #SimpleFlying #Airlines #PaxEx #AviationNews

    • Victor takes a selfie inside a spacious aircraft hangar. Behind him stands an Air Canada Airbus A321 in its modern livery, featuring a clean white fuselage, a bold black tail with the red maple leaf logo, and the iconic black "mask" around the cockpit windows. The aircraft is roped off with red stanchions, and portable boarding stairs are positioned at the forward open door. High on the hangar wall in the background, a commemorative emblem reads "NEW HEIGHTS IN EXCELLENCE / NOUVEAUX SOMMETS D'EXCELLENCE."
    • A symmetrical, eye-level view down the center aisle of a modern, empty narrow-body aircraft business class cabin, featuring rows of private suite pods with cream-colored partitions, dark wood accents, and warm amber floor-level lighting beneath bright white overhead LED strips.
    • An angled, close-up view of empty business class suite pods inside an Air Canada aircraft cabin, showcasing sleek cream and dark gray partitions, large individual touchscreen entertainment displays—with the closest screen explicitly displaying the seat number 5F—and matching gray passenger seats lining the cabin windows under bright overhead LED lighting.
    • A medium shot of a young man with curly hair and glasses, wearing a dark blazer and white dress shirt, standing on a boarding platform inside a large aircraft hangar. He rests his hand on a metal railing next to the sleek fuselage of an Air Canada airplane, which prominently displays a jet engine, cabin windows, and partial "AIR CANADA" branding against the background of the industrial hangar infrastructure.
  • Most flight trackers give you a crowded map and let you guess what’s interesting. We built one that tells you. ✈️ We’ve officially launched the Simple Flying Flight Tracker. It's a live, free, and completely unfiltered look at the skies. Why it’s a game-changer: - Smart Alerts: 8 algorithmic detection methods flag unusual activity (like Squawk 7700 emergencies) in real time. - Unfiltered Data: Track military, government, and general aviation aircraft that other platforms hide. - Live NOTAMs: View airspace restrictions directly on the map to instantly spot unorthodox flight paths. Stop guessing. Start tracking. 👇 👉 Try it for free here: https://lnkd.in/dQ2CnMSW #Aviation #FlightTracking #AvGeek #TechInnovation

Simple Flying journalists Victoria Agronsky and Antonio Di Trapani attended the NATO Tiger Meet 2026 airshow at Araxos Airport in Greece, covering static displays of several tiger-themed special liveries and one of the newly opened F-16 simulators at the Hellenic Air Force Museum near Athens. They also witnessed the Hellenic Air Force’s 95th anniversary flypast over Athens. This featured historic aircraft, including the T-6 Texan and Spitfire, modern HAF aircraft, and the RAF Red Arrows performing with blue-and-white smoke in tribute to the Greek flag. • A young pilot, Josh Eyre, sits in the captain's seat of a flight deck, smiling toward the camera. The cockpit is filled with complex instrumentation, including an extensive overhead panel, digital flight displays, and a center console with throttle levers. Through the windshield, a glimpse of the airport apron is visible, featuring a yellow and red fire truck in the distance.
  • When considering future air travel, should airlines prioritize expanding into new, underserved markets or focus on increasing frequency and capacity on existing high-demand routes? Each approach presents distinct opportunities and challenges for network strategy development and resource allocation. Photo: Shutterstock

    • A stylized world map on a dark navy background illustrates global connectivity through a dense network of glowing cyan lines. These lines form arched paths that represent international flight routes or data transfer links, with major hubs of activity appearing as bright, concentrated clusters over North America, Europe, and East Asia. The visualization emphasizes the interconnected nature of the modern world, showing thin threads of communication and travel extending even to more remote regions.
