The second half is about alternative routes. 1️⃣Route one: Mindset A deep recalibration around what SMB clients are actually experiencing in this AI transition. They don’t want more software. And you know that talking is not a challenge for me :-) But no matter how much I tried to motivate myself — and y’all — into yearly vision boards, all I could find were stats about failure. How only a few succeed. And why. Talk about motivation killers… ha. So here I was, stuck. How could someone whose frameworks for growth & scale depend on a clear #vision, a #NorthStar metric, and core #values — whether for messaging, launching a new AI project, or even an IPO roadshow — suddenly feel compelled to ditch the vision exercise? And more importantly: How does that make sense when the entire Western world is busy reflecting and setting New Year resolutions? A loophole? Or just another #ImposterSyndrome moment? Lucky me — I had to snap out of it and jump onto a business call with one of my favorite #startup #CEOs. Helping others always helps me. This call was no exception. After mapping everything the board discussed in last week’s meeting — and working through how to find the right promise for both customers and the internal team — we took a detour. We opened the customer data dashboard. - Not words. - Not funnels. - Not campaigns. Actual customer actions. Actions that spoke loud and clear. That’s when it clicked. It helped us identify what’s actually working for this SaaS company — one of many facing the reality of AI agents marching straight into their comfort zone like mummies in a horror movie, ready to take over the planet. But just like in the movies… the first step is finding your superpowers. And if you can’t name them instinctively? You go back to #data. Our geeky safe zone. For years, “HubSpot implementation” was a strong business: Build workflows. Create properties. Set up pipelines. Clients were impressed, mostly because they didn’t understand how the system worked. But that era is ending. AI is rapidly taking over the technical layer. Tools like Claude or Cowork can: → Draft workflows in seconds → Write custom code → Handle integrations & data mapping faster than humans Clicking inside a CRM is no longer a skill. It’s table stakes. So what’s actually left? The real problems. Founders don’t lose sleep over lifecycle stages. They lose sleep over: • Churn: customers quietly leaving • Trust: forecasts nobody believes • Adoption: sales teams ignoring the CRM • Revenue: marketing dashboards that look great but generate zero cash The how is becoming commoditized. The why is where the value lives. If you sell setup AI will replace you. If you solve business problems, you become irreplaceable.

I am filled with optimism and inspiration every time I read the periodic reports about Israel's Tech Ecosystem by Startup Nation Central. It is truly exciting. I'm honored and happy to be part of this amazing ecosystem. Here are my key take aways on the first half of 2025 that showed continued growth, in both private funding and M&A: Funding: * In H1 2025, Israel’s private tech sector raised $9.5 billion across 367 rounds based on reported and estimated deals, marking a 58% increase in capital raised, compared to H2 2024. * Early-stage activity gained some momentum in H1 2025, with capital invested in pre-seed and seed rounds rising by 50% compared to H2 2024 (from $406 million to $607 million). * Compared to the previous half (H2’2024), Private funding in the U.S. rose by 23%, while Israel saw a significant 62% jump. * Compared to the first half of 2024, U.S. private funding is up 62%, while Israel’s is up 41%. * In the EU, funding is down by 20% compared to the first half of 2024. In Asia, funding saw a sharp 42% fall, compared to the first half of 2024. M&A * Compared to H1 2024, first-time M&A rose 734%, and 30% excluding the $32B Wiz acquisition by Google. * M&A activity in H1 2025 remained strong, with 60 first-time deals totaling $38.9 billion, making it one of the most active recorded first halves. Even excluding the high-profile Wiz acquisition, which closed in Q1, the remaining 59 deals still totaled $6.9 billion, a clear sign of broad-based strength in Israel’s exit market. * Compared to H2 2024, first-time M&A activity rose 20% in H1 2025 (60 vs. 50 deals), while total deal value fell slightly from $7.2 billion to $6.9 billion (excluding Wiz). https://lnkd.in/dSpFXn5X

When I face these challenges, I turn to my friend Chris Dyer, a culture expert, tech CEO, and three-time bestselling author. Here is what he told me works, based on his experience with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Johnson & Johnson, Citi, and Berkshire Hathaway. AI can lower cost to serve, shorten wait times, and scale 24x7. It does not guarantee growth or loyalty. Salesforce says AI agents now handle a large share of support, and about four thousand roles were removed, while the revenue outlook still softened. Learn the right takeaway: productivity is not valued by default. Happy News 🌹🌹 Two new ImagineBoxes (Immersive Interactive Classroom) established in Ma'ale Yosef Regional Council Imagination labs make learning experiential and interactive, and help students develop creative thinking, problem solving, teamwork and technological innovation In the Ma'ale Yosef Regional Council, two innovative imagination labs (immersive learning spaces in four dimensions) were inaugurated at the Ronson Nature and Community Education Center and the Western Galilee Education Center Middle School and High School. The new imagination labs are added to the imagination lab that is already operating at the Ma'ale HaGalil School in the Ma'ale Yosef Regional Council. The initiative to establish the imagination labs is from the Athena Foundation, which has established over 120 labs across Israel to date. The imagination labs make learning experiential and interactive, and help students develop creative thinking, problem solving, teamwork and technological innovation. The head of the Ma'ale Yosef Regional Council welcomed the inauguration of the laboratories: "The Imagination Laboratory is one of the most advanced tools in the world of education. The laboratory will contribute and help our children reach their full potential, and I thank everyone who worked and promoted the issue." Athena Foundation President and Founder, Uri Ben Ari, said that "the Imagination Laboratories give students a new way to learn - through direct experience, a connection between different fields of knowledge and a tangible experience of the educational material."
