There is a popular narrative that the land was "Palestine" and nothing else before 1948. But history, and the primary sources left behind, tell a much more nuanced story. In this video, Josh points out a detail that many choose to ignore: while the British used the term "Palestine" in English, the local, native name was always there. If you look at those historic documents, stamps, and coins, you’ll see the Hebrew words "𝗘𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘇 𝗬𝗶𝘀𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗹" (The Land of Israel) appearing again and again. Why does this matter? 🔹 Context vs. Narrative: Just as the English call Deutschland "Germany," the British Mandate used an English name for a land that has been known as Eretz Yisrael by its native people for millennia. 🔹 The "Paper Trail" of History: The term "Eretz Yisrael" appeared on every official document, driving license, and coin under the British Mandate. It wasn't a political statement; it was a recognition of the land's identity. 🔹 Preserving Truth: Palestinians existed, the Mandate existed, but the Jewish connection to the land was never "erased" - it was printed on the very passports people carried in their pockets. Understanding the history of the Middle East requires us to look past slogans and actually read the documents from the time. When we look at the facts, we see a shared, complex history that proves the Jewish roots in this land are not a recent "invention" - they have been the official record all along. You know from TV." These are the words of Modi (Mahmoud) Safouri, also known as the "Jaffa King." A proud Arab Muslim Israeli who doesn't just talk about coexistence—he lives it every single day. Modi’s story is the reality of the real Israel. It’s a place where a Muslim boy grows up in a Jewish school, learns Islam from great Sheikhs, and chooses to send his own children to "Peace Schools" where Hebrew and Arabic are spoken interchangeably by every student. 𝗜𝗻 𝗜𝘀𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗹, "𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿" 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗻; 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲: 🔹Muslims, Jews, Christians, Druze, Bahá'ís, and Circassians sharing the same streets, hospitals, and high-tech offices. 🔹A mosaic of people in every color - black, white, and as Modi puts it, "Mocha." 🔹A society where being a "good human" comes before being a "good believer." People love to throw around the word "Apartheid" from the comfort of their screens. But when you look at Modi - a man thriving alongside his Jewish neighbors, raising a family with values of mutual respect - that narrative completely falls apart. If this is "Apartheid," it’s a very strange version where everyone shares the same dream of living in peace on the same land. As Modi says: "You think different from me, and I like you." Maybe it’s time the world started learning from neighbors like him, rather than from a TV screen. Israel is far from perfect, but it is a vibrant, diverse, and shared home. Never let a loud headline drown out a quiet, beautiful reality.

While I am not Iranian, I refuse to look away. According to medical reports and eyewitness accounts from inside Iran, 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟲,𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝟯𝟯𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 during the violent suppression of protests, many of them 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀. Most victims were under the age of 30. For more than 10 days, Iran has been almost completely cut off from the internet. Tens of thousands of families still do not know whether their loved ones are alive or dead. One senior physician described what is happening as “𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁.” The stories are not statistics. They are lives: • A 23-year-old fashion designer. • 3 young football players, including a 17-year-old youth team captain. • A 21-year-old basketball standout. • A student accepted to begin a PhD at the University of Bristol, his first protest was also his last. “𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗲𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻,” said Prof. Amir Peresteh, an Iranian-German ophthalmologist who treated wounded protesters during the Hijab protests on 2022. “In 2022 they used rubber bullets to blind people. This time it’s live fire. Doctors are crying. They say they’ve seen war.” Eyewitnesses describe 𝘀𝗻𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗼𝗽𝘀, 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀, and protesters collapsing beside them in the streets. One Iranian who fled the country said: “Tell everyone - on Friday they shot everyone in the head.” Hospitals report thousands of eye injuries. In one hospital in Tehran alone, 7,000 eye injuries were recorded. Doctors estimate 700–1,000 people have lost at least one eye. Some wounded died not from their injuries, but because security forces blocked blood transfusions. Others never sought medical care, fearing arrest. There are reports of wounded protesters being taken from hospital beds and executed, and of bodies removed from streets and buried elsewhere to erase evidence. And yet, the protests continue. As one Iranian writer in exile said: “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗲. 𝗘𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 - 𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗹𝘆.” Standing with the Iranians is not about identity - it is about humanity. Alternately, the method may include the steps of providing a network device, providing a server, sending a query from the network device to the server, receiving the query at the server and generating the error message if the query is not resolvable by the server, and intercepting the error message received at the network device to send a non-error message in place of the error message.
