We're a fully independent, self-funded, entirely remote team of 60+ developers from around the world, building Hytale, a block-based adventure sandbox built to be explored, modded, and reshaped by the people who play it. The game is in Early Access, with major systems and design decisions still ahead. Joining now means helping shape the foundation while the vision is still unfolding!
Who we're looking for
We're hiring from the community first and foremost. We believe the passion this community has for Hytale is as strong as ours, and that's the kind of energy we want building it with us. If you're already deep into Hytale, building mods, running servers, or contributing to its community, that counts for a lot.
- You've shipped real things in your craft. Programming, level design, art, audio, writing, mods, servers, tools, prefabs, or community projects, inside Hytale or in adjacent block-game and modding scenes. Send links to the actual work, not concepts.
- Creative, self-driven, bought into the vision. Make great use of creative freedom and work independently, while also cooperating with the team so the vision stays bound together through many different talents.
- You're comfortable with rough edges. Hytale is in active development, which comes with real ups and downs. Decisions get revisited, scopes change, things get reworked. You treat that as part of the job, not as a problem.
- You care about creators as much as players. Modders, server hosts, and the people building on top of Hytale are critical. They're part of the core as much as we are, and your work should leave room for them to take it further.
