Shield made to venerate a maiden whose eyes were crushed by Briars of Sin before being reborn in these lands.

Venerating the repose of the soul, this shield boosts focus. The briars can be used to attack foes.

  • You can upgrade this shield with Smithing Stones.
  • This shield has two passive effects: Attacking with this shield will inflict 50 Hemorrhage buildup points, and wielding it will increase your Focus by 40 points. Focus is the stat that determines your resistance to Madness and Sleep.

How To Get The Shield of the Guilty

The Shield of the Guilty can be found in the Weeping Peninsula. First, locate and head to the South of the Lookout Tower Site of Grace. You'll get here naturally by following the main beaten path of the region. From here, head northwest; you are going towards the northern ruins under the plateau where the Church of Pilgrimage is. This zone is the Demi-Human Forest Ruins.

You'll find a closed square destroyed building that it's hard to access in this zone, near the zone where you battle the Demi-Human Queen. There's a cellar inside this destroyed building you must access to. To reach the inside of the building, use Torrent and step on one of the destroyed walls to perform a double jump.

As you get inside, go downstairs, open the door and then the chest inside to claim the Shield of the Guilty.
