Gowry is an NPC Introduced in Elden Ring.

Oh, a pleasure to see you. a pleasure indeed. I am Gowry. A great sage, in my day anyway. I'd hoped to ask a favor, when one of your ilk came along. A strapping young Tarnished, able to cross the Scarlet swamp of Aeonia. Don't fret, I'll provide fine recompense. Should you accept, I will teach you the secret of Sellia, the town you see there.

If you decide to kill Gowry, he'll drop the Flock's Canvas Talisman and Gowry's Bell Bearing.

How To Complete Gowry's Questline

​​​​​1. First, you must meet Gowry. He's at his shack, Gowry's Shack, in Caelid. The exact location is marked on the map below:

Gowry will ask you to find the Unalloyed Gold Needle, which is a drop from Commander O'Neil.

2. Find and defeat Commander O'Neil. You'll find him in the middle of the swamp, south of the Inner Aeonia Site of Grace.

3. Return the Unalloyed Gold Needle to Gowry. He'll give you Sellia's Secret, which works to break the seals on the watchtowers of Sellia, Town of Sorcery. It's not necessary to do this.

4. Reload the area near Gowry so he can repair the Unalloyed Gold Needle. Exhaust all of Gowry's dialogues.

5. Now, you must give it to Millicent, located in the Church of the Plague, east of Gowry's Shack. Just follow the road to the north of the shack to reach this zone. Speak to Millicent and give her the Needle, then rest at the Site of Grace of the Church, and Millicent will get up and, as a reward, will give you the Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom Talisman. Rest once again at the Site of Grace to make Millicent move to Gowry's Shack.

6. Return to the shack, talk to Millicent there, reload the area to force Millicent to move, and exhaust all of Gowry's dialogues when he returns.

7. The next step involves you travelling to The Shaded Castle, on the Altus Plateau. You can get here by travelling north from the Erdtree-Gazing Hill Site of Grace. You must find the Valkyrie's Prosthesis here.

8. Head to the Erdtree-Gazing Hill Site of Grace and walk northeast to find Millicent. Give her the Valkyrie's Prosthesis and exhaust her dialogues. Reload the area by resting at the Site of Grace to make her move.

9. Now, you must head to Dominula, Windmill Village. Here, you'll find the Godskin Apostle (Dominula, Windmill Village). Defeat it and rest on the Site of Grace that will appear nearby to make Millicent spawn there.

10. Millicent will move to the Mountaintops of the Giants. You'll unlock this zone by entering Leyndell, Royal Capital and defeating Morgott, the Omen King. Millicent will be at the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins Site of Grace, marked in the map below:

11. Now, you must reach the Haligtree. You'll get here by reaching the Consecrated Snowfield and finding Ordina, Liturgical Town. Then, you'll complete a puzzle that will give you access to this zone. Make your way to Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree, and enter the Prayer Room Site of Grace. Talk to Millicent here and progress through the Haligtree until you reach the Drainage Channel Site of Grace.

From here, head west to where you came from and climb the ladder at the entrance. Turn right once you leave the room, go up the small hill and turn left once you get to the top. This is to reach a big branch that leads to an island with a scarlet rot pit. Enter the pit to make an Ulcerated Tree Spirit appear. Defeat it, then get up to the right side of the island to find two summoning signs.

Note that at this point, if you decide to visit Gowry, you'll find him crying and will kindly ask you to kill Millicent as he wants her to become a flower. Here are the consequences for both decisions:

Support Millicent

If you choose to support Millicent against Millicent's Sisters, you'll get the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia. Talk to Millicent after the battle and reload the area to find her dead. Pick up the Unalloyed Gold Needle. From here, to finish Gowry's questline and get the Flock's Canvas Talisman, you must defeat Malenia, Blade of Miquella and return to Gowry's Shack, where you'll find the Talisman dropped next to his corpse.

Betray Millicent

If you choose to betray Millicent and she dies, you'll get the Millicent's Prosthesis. Head back to Gowry, who'll be very happy. You can kill him now to get the Flock's Canvas Talisman and his Bell Bearing. It's not a problem as the quest is already done.
