Sleep is a Enchantment Level 1 spell found in Baldur's Gate 3.

Class and Race Restrictions

Sleep can only be used by the following classes / subclasses:

  • Bard
  • Fighter (Eldritch Knight subclass)
  • Sorcerer (All Sorcerers have access to the spell, but the Draconic Bloodline (Brass/Fire) has the spell always prepared)
  • Warlock (Archfey subclass)
  • Rogue (Arcane Trickster subclass)
  • Wizard (All Wizards have access to the spell, but the Knowledge Domain has the spell always prepared)

You can also learn this Spell by selecting the following Feats:

  • Magic Initiate: Bard
  • Magic Initiate: Sorcerer
  • Magic Initiate: Wizard

Additional information about Sleep

This spell cannot be used against Undead creatures, or against those that are immune to magical sleep, such as creatures with Fey Ancestry.

An Elixir of Peerless Focus can grant immunity to sleep.
