It took little time for R.E.P.O. to blow up in the multiplayer scene. This horror game is as funny as it is intense. But you can always make it even more outrageous by adding a few mods to the mix.
Whether you want your robot to look flashier or you want to play around with the in-game features from upgrades to death itself, the modding community has your answer. These mods are just some of the ways you can take the endlessly entertaining game that is R.E.P.O. and make it even more fun.

Who knew just how fun customizing a simple trashcan robot could be? There are quite a few R.E.P.O. mods that allow you to change how you look. Want angel wings? There’s an option for it. Or perhaps you want a Viking robot? You can don a Viking helm and wreak havoc on those monsters.
There are even ways for you to (somewhat) become your favorite characters, like Tails and Bowser or even Link. But remember: dress-up is even better when you do it as a group.
9 DeadTTS
The Dead Can Speak

Nothing's better than getting your head blown off by The Huntsman and subsequently taunting your friends from beyond. The DeadTTS lets the dead continue to communicate, but only through TTS. What's hilarious about this is that everyone has a random pitch that changes with each round.
For gameplay purposes, it's an excellent mod as it can alert your teammates as to where your head is in case they can't find it. But for fun, it's also great to drive your friends crazy while they're trying to listen out for monsters. It's a good thing that the monsters can't hear the dead.
8 SharedUpgrades
Leave No One Behind

Sometimes accidents happen, and one person may grab an upgrade someone else bought for themselves. Or sometimes you have that one friend who just likes to troll and takes items on purpose. In either case, the SharedUpgrades mod will make any R.E.P.O. round fair for everyone. As the name implies, it shares upgrades across the board.
Now, only one person realistically needs to snatch upgrades as everyone will reap the benefits. Now, the entire team can do their best without worrying about strength, health, etc.

From the same creator who thought of sharing upgrades, they also figured that the stamina feature could use some work. Even when you increase your stamina, you're still dealing with the regeneration part, and that's the part that can get you killed.
This R.E.P.O. mod is one of the best to improve your overall gameplay. It'll ensure that stamina boosts also upgrades the regeneration rate by 0.5 points per upgrade.
6 BetterTruckHeals
Come Back Stronger

Rushing to the truck at the end can be stressful, especially when you're low on health and a monster is hot on your heels. And even though it gives you heals, you could always benefit from more. When you use the BetterTruckHeals mod, you'll increase how much the truck heals you.
Instead of gaining 20 extra HP, you'll get 50. This is especially useful if you're on your last leg and one hit will take you out. You never know who's going to follow you inside the truck before everyone gets on board ready to depart. Better to be safe than sorry.
5 XH DamageShow EnemyHealthBar
Keep an Eye on the Enemy

Even if it doesn't work out well for you and your teammates, it's always fun to fight back. But there's a good deal of guesswork involved. You can see the enemy is being damaged thanks to the red highlights that pop up with every hit. Even so, it's not clear how many more hits it's going to take. So, let's eliminate the guesswork.
The DamageShow EnemyHealthBar will show just how much HP the enemy has and how much damage your hits are causing. It's a handy quality-of-life mod that makes it easier to strategize with the team (or by yourself on a solo run) to take down any of the monsters with less casualties.
4 MoreReviveHP
Rise From the Dead Stronger Than Ever

Do you know the pain of being revived only for the Clown to laser you to death mere seconds later? It's not a great feeling despite how hilarious the situation can be. A good way to avoid that is to return without the dreaded 1 HP.
With the MoreReviveHP mod, you can adjust exactly how much health you'll have when you're revived. It's easy to give yourself just enough to withstand at least one hit before getting to safety so a friend can heal you up some more.
3 MoreShopItems
Shop 'Til You Drop

The store is a cozy place to shop and gather everything you need from upgrades to weapons. But if you're playing with a large group, you'll need all the help possible. So, the MoreShopItems mod will deck out the store with even more items to purchase. It's one of the best mods to give you a bit of an edge in the game.
The shop will get more shelves to make up for the increased spawn rate of the items. This way, nothing looks too cluttered or out of sorts. Just make sure you come back to the store with a hefty sum so you can purchase everything you need.
2 MorePlayers
The More, the Merrier

As of now, R.E.P.O. is capped at six total players. But what if you have more friends than that? Or maybe you don't want to deal with that max and want to ensure only a handful join? Either side you take, the MorePlayers mod allows you to adjust the amount of players in your game.
You can make it very niche with only you and a couple of people. Or maybe you prefer something more hectic? A game with upwards of 10 friends will certainly be memorable in the best (and possibly worst) of ways.
1 DeathHeadHopper
Don't Let Death Stop You

Why would you let something as silly as death stop you from interacting with the game? Not only do we have a mod to use TTS in death, but you can also download the DeathHeadHopper mod to make R.E.P.O. even more of an outrageous game than it already is. The feature is in the name. You can truly hop around the map with your dead head.
Now, you can use this with more strategy and hop your way to the extraction while your teammates continue gathering items. But my personal favorite is using it to hide from your friends no matter how hard they're trying to find you and revive you. Of course, you run the risk of being rightfully abandoned, but it's worth it.
