As AI transforms publishing and advertising, the goal shouldn’t just be automating today’s workflows, marketers should be reimagining what’s possible. At Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Scott Sheffer, VP of Global Partnerships, Sellside Monetization at Google for Publishers, shares how agentic AI can help publishers make faster decisions while keeping human strategy and governance at the center. #sponsored 🎤: Ryan Hoover

AI is becoming a bigger part of advertising every day, but for many advertisers it can still feel like a black box At RAAS LAB, we believe you should never have to guess what's driving performance 🔮 If AI is helping decide where your ads appear and what opportunities are worth investing in, you should be able to understand why. That's why transparency sits at the heart of what we do- giving brands a clear view of what's driving performance and how decisions are being made. Serena Noble shares why transparency is one of the most important conversations in modern advertising 👇 #AIAdvertising #AdTech #ProgrammaticAdvertising #DigitalAdvertising #Transparency #RAASLAB

The biggest AI players in the world just admitted something you already figured out the hard way. They don't have standards yet either. WPP Media — one of the largest ad companies on the planet — just launched an initiative to develop basic rules for how AI should work in media buying. They're still figuring it out. With Comcast as a partner. If you bought an AI tool that nobody on your team actually uses, you're not behind. You picked from a market that was never fully ready to deliver. That changes how you should approach your next AI decision entirely. The lesson here isn't "wait for the big companies to sort it out." It's this: the businesses winning with AI right now aren't chasing the most sophisticated tools. They're solving one specific, repetitive problem — something that already costs them time every single week — and finding the simplest tool that fixes just that. One problem. One tool. Measurable result within 30 days. That's the whole playbook. Not a rip-and-replace project. Not a six-month rollout. Start with what's already breaking your week, not what the vendors are pitching. What's the one task your team repeats most that you wish would just handle itself? #AIStrategy #SmallBusiness #BusinessGrowth #AIForBusiness Full post + chat with us — links in the comments below.

AI will reshape how advertising is bought and sold but adoption depends on trusted infrastructure that gives publishers and buyers confidence to transact at scale. In a conversation with John Ebbert of tipsheet.ai, our CEO Michael Barrett shares why Magnite's position at the center of the programmatic ecosystem, our deep relationships, and focus on interoperability uniquely position us for the next era of AI-driven advertising. Everyone's racing to let AI buy their media. Almost nobody's asking what it's allowed to buy. Agentic buying is real now. The pitch is seductive: cut the ad-tech toll, buy faster, buy cheaper. But an agent trained on the cheapest CPM finds junk faster than any human ever could. Automation at machine speed makes a bad supply path worse, faster. The teams getting value from agentic aren't the ones handing over an open mandate. They're the ones governing what inventory the agent is even allowed to consider. That's a strategy decision, not a software feature. AI lowered the barrier to buying media. It did not lower the barrier to buying it well. Where do you land on this: is agentic buying a step forward, or just a faster way to make the same mistakes? #Programmatic #AgenticAI #AdTech #MediaBuying #Tangoo

AI agents are now competing to replace traditional programmatic advertising pipes — and leading brands are already testing them. This is not about whether AI is coming to marketing. It has arrived. The question now landing in boardrooms is who on the team actually understands how to direct these tools, evaluate their outputs, and navigate the legal questions around content ownership and training data. Non-technical marketers who develop this strategic fluency will not just keep their seats — they will expand their influence. The ones waiting to feel ready will find the gap has widened without them. Takeaway: start learning how AI-driven campaign tools make decisions so you can lead the conversation, not just execute the brief. What's your take on where AI is taking the marketing function? #AIMarketing #MarketingInnovation #DigitalMarketing #MarTech #CareerGrowth

Very quick takes and valuable insights from Vanessa Otero, Tim Huelskamp, and others, on why valuing high-quality journalism is critical to the media ecosystem.
At OpenHouse, senior leaders across brands, agencies, publishers, and platforms talked honestly about where marketing is headed. The throughline was clear: As discovery gets faster and the industry gets noisier, the brands that win are the ones treating measurement, AI, and premium media not as separate bets, but as one connected system. Thank you to Vanessa Otero (Ad Fontes Media), Tim Huelskamp (1440), Nicola Lewis (WPP), and Raja Rajamannar (Mastercard) for sharing their thoughts with us. #CannesLions2026

Short any company that uses AI to put their brand advertising on real life events that they were clearly not a part of. Congrats to Angela and Nikolau the empire state climbing couple. To clarify, there was no advertising on the banner it beautifully read: "When the power of love beats the love of power the world knows peace" #empirestate #engaged
