Wikipedia:WikiProject Disney

Welcome to WikiProject Disney, a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of The Walt Disney Company (or just Disney). This WikiProject will attempt to cover the various fields affiliated with Disney: studios, subsidiaries, theme parks, attractions, films/movies, television channels, media streaming, affiliated actors/actresses and merchandise.

• To organize the various aspects of Disney: Film & Television, Theme Parks & Attractions, Merchandise, Actors/Actresses and Streaming
• To set guidelines for types of Disney-related articles.
• Get as many to Good-Article or Featured-Article status.

• The project covers any articles relating to the Walt Disney Company and its affiliated companies including Pixar, the American Broadcasting Company, Marvel Entertainment and current successor Marvel Studios, ESPN, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, The Muppets Studio and so on ad infinitum.

Promote the project

• Join this project! Add yourself to the list, and add the userbox to your page, to advertise the project to people who happen to pass by.
• Invite people to the project – drop a note on the user talk page of editors working on Disney topics who aren't project members.
• Consider promoting the project via the Wikipedia Signpost WikiProject desk.

Improve the project

• Update the project pages, archive clutter, and make use of the latest automation available
• Consult the WikiProject Guide for ideas
• Come up with new ones

Use the project

• Create a new article. Or check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Disney/New articles and see if these new articles need work such as project tagging or categorising.

• Expand some of the articles (check out Category:Disney stubs or some of its subcategories), always respecting Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View Policy. Also, check the Wikipedia: Manual of Style.
• Add references to articles which need referencing improving. Biographies of living persons are a particular priority.
• Assess some of the Unassessed Disney articles, using the criteria at Wikipedia:WikiProject Disney/Assessment. Update the project banner on the relevant talk page.

• Check the talk page for requests for help.
• Check the to do list at Wikipedia:WikiProject Disney/to do
• You can look at the project's popular pages list to identify particularly high-profile articles that could be improved.
