Infineon 🤝 Subaru = enhancing real-time performance in driver assistance systems Infineon and Subaru today announced to collaborate on improving driver safety in future Subaru vehicles. Microcontrollers are especially relevant here. They control central vehicle functions such as braking, steering and driver assistance in real time. As the latter are becoming increasingly sophisticated, reliable real-time operation throughout the entire system is key. This is where the Infineon Technologies microcontrollers of the AURIX™ family shine. The AURIX™ TC4x microcontroller, for example, supports Subaru in building the foundation needed to deliver dependable decision-making and control across the vehicle. It will be installed in the integrated electronic control unit that coordinates advanced driver assistance systems and vehicle motion control, including all-wheel drive control, in next-generation Subaru vehicles. For Infineon’s automotive teams and myself, it feels very rewarding that Subaru is the first Japanese car manufacturer to use AURIX™ TC4x. Looking ahead, both companies will deepen their collaboration around in-vehicle computing and networking and will drive technology development and value creation toward safer and more secure mobility. 👉 I am very much looking forward to my joint presentation with Mr. Eiji Shibata, Executive Officer and Chief Digital Car Officer, Subaru Corporation, at the Embedded World 2026 exhibition and conference in Nuremberg. Proud to share our close collaboration with the BMW Group: Together we are shaping the Neue Klasse and the future of software-defined vehicles. Rochester Electronics announced we will provide production support for the original CAN2.0A and CAN2.0B standards introduced back in 1991. We will accomplish this by recreating the Intel 82527 CAN product (from the original physical Intel design & test programs). Production ramp is targeted for the end of 2025. If you do not need this particular CAN device and have a different requirement you want to continue to utilize without making a design change, you can contact us to see if a recreation is appropriate for your specific critical semiconductor product. Global NEV Sales Grow 30% in 2Q25, BYD Leads While Tesla Declines, Says TrendForce Corp. 💡🚗🚙🔋🤖 TrendForce’s latest research reveals that global NEV sales, including BEVs, PHEVs, and FCVs, reached 4.868 million units in the second quarter of 2025, up 30% YoY. When HEVs are included, total EV sales climbed up to 6.456 million units, accounting for 29% of global auto sales. BEV sales up 39% to hit 3.28 million units #BYD retained its position as the leading BEV brand with an 18.3% market share, posting a robust 43% YoY growth. #Tesla held onto second place but saw declines in key markets, including #China, North #America, and Western #Europe.
