Existing chats, history, and files carry over automatically to the new experience. Work and personal conversations remain separate, keeping chat history, files, and organizational protections tied to the appropriate account.

We've aligned feature names across experiences to create a more consistent Microsoft Copilot experience.

Copilot Chat provides AI-powered assistance across work and life through natural conversation. If you previously used Bing AI or Bing Chat, those experiences have evolved into Microsoft Copilot and are now part of the Copilot experience.

A free tier is available with a Microsoft account. Copilot AI helps you research, create, and get answers, with some capabilities subject to usage limits and more available through paid plans. You can also use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint free on the web. Microsoft 365 subscriptions include the Microsoft Copilot app, desktop versions of familiar productivity apps, and additional premium features.
