What truly drives me is the feeling that comes after using it. The feeling of being more satisfied, more released, more alive. That’s when we’re getting closer to our main vision, something we’re actively working on and will share more about soon. That feeling can come from good nutrition, but also from a meaningful conversation with a friend or even a stranger, a smile from someone passing by, or from movement and sport. Have you ever felt mentally worse after doing sport? I haven’t. Tomorrow evening, we’re hosting our "Nourish your Mind meetup" to feel good together: through conversation, calmness, reflection, maybe even new insights. An evening dedicated to exploring how nutrition, mindfulness, and science can empower mental health and wellbeing. We’ll also have a special guest joining us: Christie from Heal Wellness Centers. Christie combines psychology, vocal pedagogy, and somatic integration. After years of performing and teaching music around the world, she discovered how singing and touch can deeply support healing. She later transitioned into psychology and worked as a psychedelics facilitator at the University of Zurich. Her research explores psilocybin, ayahuasca, and LSD in therapeutic and palliative care contexts. We’re really looking forward to this evening. We have not officially launched yet, but last Saturday we stress-tested J floor with the first hackathon from Anthropic in Zurich. 12 hours of building with Claude. 130 people showed up. The room was so packed you could hear the tokens churning. It's crazy how fast things move when people care about what you are building: - In October we had the idea for J floor. - By November we found the first sponsors that believed in us, when we just painted the vision. - December we singed the lease for our first space very close to the ETH main building. - Early January we got the keys. It's a cozy space that can fit 15-20 people, it filled instantly. We knew more builders needed what we had started. - Late January we got the option to get a bigger space in the city, we made it work with help of our friends at Browser Use. - Beginning of February the first team from J floor to be part of the upcoming Y Combinator batch, working from the space witch was basically under construction. We spent weekends painting walls, laying carpet, carrying furniture up stairs, setting up desks. "We" means a community of 50+ founders and builders in Zurich, that now have two spaces to work from to build tech that will define the next generation. Now, early March, before we officially open, we stress-tested it. With 130 hackers in an event organized by Anthropic & Claude Builder Club ETH Zurich. At J Floor we give space to ambitious builders, to build what they want. A "garage" full of ambitious people building the next generation of global companies. It's a base. Founder first. No fees. No strings attached. Made possible by our first sponsors Alfred, Founderful, HITS - House of Insurtech Switzerland and Browser Use! We haven't launched yet. But now it's time. And why do we organise them? Last Thursday, we gathered people for our Nourish Your Mind meetup. We spoke about nutrition, body awareness (such as somatic singing), technology (neurofeedback) and how all of it shapes our brain. But that wasn’t the real reason. The real reason? Energy. Not the productivity kind. Not the networking kind. Human energy. In yesterday’s NZZ am Sonntag, the front page asked: Have we had enough of social media? It described how parts of Generation Z are moving “back to the future”, buying dumb phones instead of the newest iPhone, joining book clubs and running clubs, meeting in pubs instead of swiping on Tinder. Real spaces. Real conversations. Real presence. That’s what we did last Thursday. We didn’t just meet to optimise ourselves for tomorrow. We met to feel more awake in the present moment. To see facial expressions. To sense emotions in real time. To think, talk, and sing together, not through screens. And I realised: We didn’t organise the event primarily to market Nuuro. We organised it because creating spaces like this energises us and gives us more energy to work on Nuuro and ourselves. Because bringing people together around shared curiosity, offline, feels energising. So, are we planning more of this? Most likely, yes. The second Nourish Your Mind meetup proved it again. The energy flows when we recognise the importance of being offline and present. What happened since then has been kind of insane. I now also understand the new term "LLM burnout." The speed at which you can suddenly bring ideas to life is so fast that you just want to keep building. To learn Claude Code, also as a tool for Nuuro, I decided to work on something completely different. Here's the backstory: The last few weeks, I've been getting increasingly disappointed by how much trash is laying around in Kreis 5 here in Zürich. I was annoyed, but I wasn't actually doing anything about it. So I turned that frustration into a project. In less than 8 hours, I built www.bragforgood.com, a platform where people can sign up and brag. Brag for good. Why share good posts publicly? At least for me: when I see someone pick up trash that isn't theirs, it motivates me to do the same. Even the AI-generated example posts on my site www.bragforgood.com made me laugh and smile. It's not just the action of doing good, it's the feeling you get when you see others doing good too. This website has no intention to go big. This post is really about the enormous speed of AI development right now. I'm impressed, and I want to use it as much as possible for good, not only think about the negative possibilities.
