Mark Carnevale shared thisExciting times here at GHGSAT!Mark Carnevale shared thisEPA approved! ✅ GHGSAT's aerial technology, DATA.AIR, has officially been designated by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as an Advanced Detection Technology under the “Alternative Test Method for Methane Detection Technology,” approving it as a certified technology to conduct site screenings for OOOOa and OOOOb regulatory requirements. What does this mean for industry operators? Draw on DATA.AIR for: ✈️ Confidence in regulatory compliance. Enjoy the piece of mind that comes with #DATAAIR's reliable, trusted data for reporting under OOOOa and OOOOb requirements. ✈️ Flexibility in emissions monitoring solutions. Operators can leverage #GHGSAT aircraft as part of a tailored emissions monitoring program, drawing on its low detection threshold for targeted campaigns that replace costly, on-the-ground inspections. ✈️ Faster leak detection and repair. Mark Carnevale liked thisMark Carnevale liked thisMost methane monitoring conversations focus on sensitivity. But does sensitivity alone solve the problem? Every monitoring technology sits somewhere on the spectrum between coverage and sensitivity, and each addresses a different part of the methane detection challenge. If you’re thinking about how to structure a monitoring strategy across large and complex assets, we’ve put together a Methane Monitoring Toolkit that compares how different technologies balance sensitivity and coverage. 📘Download the toolkit: https://lnkd.in/emv3k-Vk #Methane #EmissionsMonitoring

Mark Carnevale reacted on thisMark Carnevale reacted on thisCERAWeek 2026 wrapped in Houston last week. Our team was there and three themes dominated every conversation. The Middle East conflict is driving uncertainty. Markets are in flux as they try to make sense of what's happening on the ground and the overall impact. Supply shocks, inflation risk, and uncertainty stretching 18–24 months ahead. Some companies came to Houston with a plan left needing a new one. In times like these, energy security and operational efficiency become everything. AI integration into business. This year the main conversation was around AI and the convergence of tech and energy, coupled with the pressure to produce more hydrocarbon, faster. Leveraging AI allows businesses to be quicker to interpret data and react accordingly to achieve strategic goals. As the EU Methane Regulation tightens import requirements, and buyers demand certified low-emission gas, direct measurement data is a market differentiator. Methane is still a low-hanging fruit. Emissions reduction and energy security are the two main goals. The solutions exist, and shareholders, customers, and global regulations are keeping methane firmly on the agenda. The companies winning long-term are the ones building data repositories through direct measurement tools to drive operational leadership. At GHGSAT, we've spent nearly a decade building the world's largest commercial constellation of high-resolution methane monitoring satellites. We've seen firsthand what early movers gain in cost savings, customer trust, and regulatory posturing. What themes from CERAWeek stood out most to you? We'd love to hear from the community. #CERAWeek2026 #Methane #EnergyTransition #GHGSat #OilandGas #EnergySecurity #AI #Sustainability #EmissionsMonitoring #NaturalGas

Mark Carnevale liked thisMark Carnevale liked thisThe value of satellite measurement isn't just about finding leaks. It's about being able to demonstrate that the progress oil and gas companies are committing to is actually happening.⛽ As pressure builds toward 2030 targets, that distinction matters more than ever. In our recent webinar, experts from GHGSAT and OGCI (Oil and Gas Climate Initiative) explored how satellite data is being turned into real operational action from detecting emissions over 127 countries to helping operators know exactly what to do the moment an alert lands in their inbox. If your organization is working toward near-zero methane by 2030, this conversation is worth your time. 📺 Watch the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/euhY-j2Z #MethaneEmissions #OilAndGas #SatelliteData #EmissionsMonitoring #MethaneMitigation #ClimateAction

Mark Carnevale liked thisMark Carnevale liked thisLately I’ve been seeing these beautiful old Victorian homes being transformed into the most stunning spaces… And it clicked. Maybe the future of micro hotels isn’t cold office space conversions. Maybe it’s character. Because the reality is — building from scratch is expensive in downtown Toronto. Office spaces look good on paper… but the cost to bring them to life is heavy. Meanwhile… There are these incredible old homes with: • original details • warmth you can’t recreate • layouts that already feel human They just need a new vision. What if instead of forcing something new… we repurposed something that already has a soul? A micro hotel inside a Victorian home feels different. More intimate. More memorable. More aligned with how people actually want to feel when they travel. Not mass-produced. Not sterile. But layered. Textured. Alive. I’m starting to explore this path more seriously — finding properties with great bones and turning them into something special. Mark Carnevale liked thisMark Carnevale liked thisGHGSat has helped prevent greenhouse gas emissions to the equivalent of taking 3.5 million cars off the road. Based in Montreal, Canada, I was at their facility on Friday, where cutting-edge satellite technology, data analysis and mission operations all come together under one roof – in the name of climate action. With their high-resolution, greenhouse-gas-monitoring satellite constellation, GHGSat is pushing boundaries by delivering data that’s precise enough to attribute emissions directly to individual facilities. Their innovative work is taking us from broad estimates, to exact, actionable insight: real-time monitoring enables them to drive accountability and meaningful change, in support of industries, governments, and regulators worldwide. The team has grown into a true international success story, demonstrating how small-to-medium enterprises can deliver global impact where it truly matters. Mark Carnevale reacted on thisMark Carnevale reacted on thisA lot of methane research stalls at a point where you know where to look, but you can't get the right data. 🚫📊 That's the gap European Space Agency - ESA's Third-Party Missions programme was designed to close. Researchers have used it to access GHGSAT's high-resolution data at no cost, and what they found consistently challenged what official inventories reported. 🛰️ The programme is open to researchers in ESA member states, cooperating states, and Canada. Applications are reviewed by ESA, and approved projects get access to tasked observations at 25-metre resolution, targeted to the sites that matter to their work. 🎯 🔗 If you're studying methane point sources and haven't looked into this, click on this link to know more: https://lnkd.in/g4Rk3g-Y #Methane #ClimateData #SatelliteData #Research #Emissions

Mark Carnevale liked thisMark Carnevale liked thisToronto doesn’t need another hotel. It needs something different. Right now, if you’re traveling here, your options are kind of broken: You either get → a hostel (no privacy, chaotic energy) → or a boutique hotel ($300–$500/night… and honestly, a bit soulless) There’s nothing in between. And that gap is exactly what I’m building. I’m working on Toronto’s first true micro hotel — but not in the way people think. Not pods stacked in a room. Not bunk beds with curtains. Think: • small, beautifully designed private rooms • warm lighting, calm energy • spaces that make it easy to meet people… or not • a price point that actually makes sense It’s for the solo traveler who wants to feel safe, grounded, and a little inspired — not just have a place to crash. Because travel has changed. People are traveling alone more. Working remotely. Staying longer. Looking for feeling, not just function. But the hospitality industry hasn’t really caught up yet. So instead of waiting for it to evolve… I decided to build it. Toronto first. Then we scale. Let’s see where this goes. — If you’re in hospitality, real estate, or just curious about where travel is heading, I’d love to connect. #Toronto #Hospitality #RealEstate #StartupLife #Entrepreneurship #TravelIndustry #BoutiqueHotel #DigitalNomad #WomenInBusiness #FounderJourney #BuildInPublic #FutureOfTravel

Mark Carnevale liked thisMark Carnevale liked thisCERAWeek put Canadian innovation front and centre, and Canada’s Methane Innovation Leadership Panel at Canada House was an opportunity to bring it all together. The discussion yesterday highlighted how collaboration is advancing methane detection, measurement, and mitigation solutions with proven results. A big thank you to Jacqueline Peterson, PhD (Kathairos Solutions), Liz O'Connell (Arolytics), and Ryan Mattson (GHGSAT), with moderation by Lauren Savoie, P.Eng, PMP, FCSSE, ICD.D of PTAC Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada. The message from the panel was clear. Methane challenges cannot be solved with a single tool. Progress at scale depends on cooperative research and a strong innovation ecosystem that brings stakeholders together to identify challenges. Canadian satellite monitoring, closed‑loop systems, and data‑driven platforms are already delivering results. Thank you as well to the Government of Canada for hosting Canada House and convening leaders from government and industry throughout CERAWeek 2026. PTAC appreciated the opportunity to connect, share insights, and help build partnerships shaping the future of the global energy system. Andrew Bulmer, BA, ICD.D makes an important point here: geopolitical volatility is no longer a distant headline. It is showing up in the real economics of marketing — from supply chain pressure to consumer caution to increased scrutiny on every media dollar. What stands out to me is how often moments like this push brands toward short-term cuts that can create longer-term damage. When visibility drops, it is not just spend that disappears — momentum, market presence, and competitive position can erode with it. When media is structured as a funded asset rather than treated solely as an expense, marketers gain more flexibility to protect working budgets, manage cash flow, and stay active in market when it matters most. In uncertain conditions, the advantage often goes to brands that can remain both visible and adaptable. Connect with me if you want to learn more.

Seema Bihari, PhD, CLMP shares a great perspective of how brands that are well underway with loyalty are moving up the maturity curve. They're no longer managing loyalty as a standalone program, they're orchestrating it as an enabler of enterprise customer growth. Across sectors, partnerships are becoming part of a broader growth infrastructure. The real unlock isn't just reciprocal earn or expanded redemption, it's recognizing customer needs at a more molecular level - how value travels across moments, ecosystems, and behaviours. This shift, from program mechanics to ecosystem orchestration, is where Bond Brand Loyalty spends alot of time with our clients - helping them drive both greater customer value and more strategic revenue growth. Look, I know that you're gonna want to turn and head the other way, but hear me out: Canada's Consumer Driven-Banking Act ("Open Banking") is a major shift in the power dynamic between banks, customers and all the fintechs that have been nabbing customers for the past few years. But it doesn't just affect the financial sector. Platform shifts like this reset customer expectations, and this platform shift is happening at a transactional level, meaning anytime there's an exchange of money information there's a chance to be better. Here's our take: https://lnkd.in/g9symQkP

Our 2025 #KantarBrandZ Most Valuable Canadian Brands report shows that sustainability has shifted from a peripheral to core strategic priority for brands, essential for both growth and survival. The difference between sustainable innovations that thrive and those that falter? Three critical questions: Is sustainability your risk management tool or growth engine? Are you meeting the needs of both your sustainability champions AND your skeptics? And what's the real barrier to adoption? Kantar data shows that sustainability can drive up to 10% of brand growth, and execution matters more than intention. The opportunity is real for those who meet consumers where they are, not where you wish they'd be. 📈Marketing in Canada is shifting—and fast. As we look at how to engage consumers meaningfully in 2025, I’ve been reflecting on the trends that are reshaping the marketing landscape in Canada. Whether you're building brand awareness, driving conversions, or fostering loyalty, these insights are worth paying attention to: 🔹 The "Buy Canadian" movement is gaining momentum. Consumers are more intentional than ever in their support of local businesses, presenting both a challenge and an opportunity for marketers. 🔹 “Made in Canada” directories are surging in popularity, giving local brands a new platform to shine. 🔹 Brand values matter. Canadians are aligning themselves with brands that reflect their beliefs—and are quick to disengage if there’s a mismatch. 🔹 Video is king. Short-form videos on platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels remain the most powerful tools for connection and storytelling. 🔹 AI is elevating personalization and helping marketers work smarter, not just harder. 🔹 Private communities are thriving, especially when brands collaborate with nano- and micro-influencers to create trusted, authentic spaces. Marketing isn’t just about reach anymore—it’s about resonance. 💡 What trends are you seeing in your space?

A commercial payment dispute highlights broader pressures facing Canada’s fast-growing agri-tech sector. Published: October 2, 2025 at 10:00 Author: Pam Richardson Canada’s agri-technology industry has seen rapid growth over the past decade, fueled by increased demand for digital tools that help farmers improve yields, manage risk, and comply with evolving regulations. Companies operating in this space often rely on a mix of permanent staff and external specialists, including senior consultants, executives, and contractors with highly specialized expertise. One such company is Intelia Technologies, a Quebec-based agri-tech firm known for providing data-driven solutions to agricultural producers. Like many technology companies navigating growth and operational change, Intelia has worked with external professionals under contractual arrangements rather than traditional employment structures. According to documentation related to a current commercial dispute, Intelia is involved in an unresolved payment matter connected to compensation claimed for professional services provided under contract. The dispute concerns unpaid amounts linked to work performed over an extended period and has not yet been publicly resolved. Public corporate records identify Dominic Désy as a senior executive associated with Intelia Technologies during the relevant timeframe. There is no allegation of personal wrongdoing, and no claim of personal liability is being made. His name appears solely in the context of his publicly documented leadership role within the company. Industry analysts note that disputes over compensation or contractor payments are not unusual in fast-moving technology sectors, particularly where companies balance growth, funding cycles, and shifting commercial priorities. However, prolonged payment delays can have meaningful consequences for individuals who rely on timely remuneration for their livelihood. As of publication, no confirmation of settlement or payment has been publicly recorded in relation to the matter. The company has not issued a public statement addressing the dispute, and it remains unclear whether discussions toward resolution are ongoing. Read more: https://lnkd.in/dWAjsejh
