Tim Doyle posted thisEucalyptus has signed an agreement to be acquired by hims & hers. When the deal closes, we plan to build the best consumer health business in the world. I'll oversee the company’s international business. I think back to the launch of Hims & Hers as really the beginning of the patient-led transformation that healthcare has been undergoing for the last decade. Seeing a website that felt aspirational, low friction, clearly explained - with a payment model that was approachable - felt revolutionary at a time when the US healthcare system was everything but that. When we were launching Eucalyptus, we drew inspiration from Hims & Hers. So this feels full circle. As we look forward, this patients-first era of healthcare is only accelerating. It's become abundantly clear that in the future, patients will have a relationship with one or many digital clinics where they understand their own health data through regular tracking and diagnostics, use that information to interact with a variety of practitioners, and then take action across a wide range of their healthcare decisions. Hims & Hers is the best-positioned business in the world to be the home for consumer health. They've set the bar for what it means to be focused on the patient for the last decade — and as we accelerate toward the future, being part of what is fast becoming the leading global consumer health platform is extremely exciting. Of course, this is also a moment to look backward and say thank you - to our investors, staff, clinicians, partners and our patients. Eucalyptus started seven years ago as a bet that generalist talent from Australia could build a globally competitive consumer healthcare business. In many ways, this is the achievement of that aspiration. And as we look forward, our team now has the opportunity to be part of building one of the great healthcare businesses in the world — one that transforms hundreds of millions of lives.

Tim Doyle shared thisOur research team, working with Stanford, just published new findings from ~20,000 patients in the UK. As has been seen throughout our published research, long-term outcomes are driven by wrap-around support and sustained engagement. -Patients who met our adherence criteria saw 22.6% average weight loss at 12 months -Consistent weekly engagement was the strongest predictor of long-term success - Hyper-engagement early on (obsessive tracking, rapid early weight loss) was actually associated with lower long-term adherence That last one is really interesting to me. It reinforces something we've been focusing more on: pacing matters, expectation setting matters, and the care model needs to be something patients can actually sustain over years, not just the first few weeks. It's been great watching our clinical and product teams evolve how we support patients off the back of this kind of evidence. https://lnkd.in/gYjcKT8412-Month Weight Loss and Adherence Predictors in a Real-World UK Tirzepatide-Supported Digital Obesity Service: A Retrospective Cohort Analysis | MDPI12-Month Weight Loss and Adherence Predictors in a Real-World UK Tirzepatide-Supported Digital Obesity Service: A Retrospective Cohort Analysis | MDPI

Tim Doyle shared thisI've been working with the Roosters coaching team to think through the question of "how can we use the oncoming wave of new technology to win more Rugby League games" (an outcome close to my heart) The output of that is that they're on the hunt for a data engineer to help accelerate the analytical capability of the organisation. It's an incredible opportunity to have a real impact how decisions are made in an elite sporting organisation. There has been great work done bringing together messy data sources into something useful, but they have only really begun to scratch the surface of what is possible, and they are a curious and engaged organisation open to ways to get better. If you're an analytically minded data engineer looking for an interesting green field project to own end-to-end, this is a great opportunity. More broadly if you have ideas about how data eng, analytics and AI can win more games of rugby league, i'd love to hear them.Tim Doyle shared thisWe've got an exciting opportunity available to join our Club! ⭐ Data Engineer Join a high-performing organisation where data drives elite outcomes. Tim Doyle reposted thisTim Doyle reposted thisLast week I sat down with Tim Doyle, CEO & Cofounder at Eucalyptus at our AGM. We talked about how Eucalyptus evolved from a house of brands to a healthcare platform expanding from Australia to the world. It’s rare to see a company scale creative marketing, clinical systems, and international operations with equal skill. Today, Eucalyptus is one of the largest, and fastest growing multi-market GLP-1 digital clinics in the world. They've published 20 peer-reviewed studies on the safety and efficacy of their obesity program. Their patients receive holistic care and observe superior outcomes. And they've nailed international expansion into the UK, Germany and Japan. We've been fortunate to partner with them since the Series B. Watching them go from local champion to global operator has been unreal. They're also hiring: https://lnkd.in/gRXCw3HV

Tim Doyle shared thisA common startup trope is that the best time to join a startup is right at the beginning. If it all works out, sure. You get the glory, the financial upside, the ride etc etc. But the reality is not this in most cases, your control of the trajectory of the company is pretty low, you’re taking a lot of risk you can’t control, and to be honest a lot of early startup work is boring, low influence, low complexity pain. So I want to make a (self-serving) argument that the real answer here is when a company inflects it's ambition. You want a company that has the capability, the infrastructure and the capital to take on a truly global problem. You want that company to have not yet solved the problem, and to have the humility to know that and to be looking for leaders who can be accountable drivers of solutions. You want the company to have the maturity to pay you properly, not post garbage about 9/9/6 and actually understand what it takes to build durability. We have spent the last few years getting to a point where we can credibly raise the ambition for our company. So I can credibly say now, there is no better opportunity for impact at scale in Australia. We have 100 open roles here. https://lnkd.in/gVEPUjdc If none of them look like you, but you have something to add, message me.Tim Doyle shared thisRyan Nolan explains Eucalyptus well here. Suffice to say, if this is you, now is a good time to join the team.

Tim Doyle shared thisIt is so clear that AI is going to bring a new golden age to creative marketing. The era of the arbitrage gremlins is over (bad news for me).Winning comes from ambitious storytelling not endless variants of mind numbing UGC. Everyone just needs to end the marketing culture wars and embrace it. Great to swap notes on this new era with the best marketer in VC (not a strong field)Tim Doyle shared thisIn this week's episode, we chatted with Tim Doyle from Eucalyptus Tim is an old friend and one of the rare performance-obsessed leaders who is also a true creative. What stood out in this conversation: - “There is no such thing as brand marketing,” only ambitious storytelling paired with rigorous measurement - Speed to learning as a primary KPI, smaller briefs and faster cycles that create more at-bats - A baseball scorecard for creative: singles to home runs. This shifts incentives from craft perfection to performance outcomes. - Lift tests and MMM as the default, click attribution as supporting evidence - Where AI adds real leverage in creative and ops, and where human taste must stay in the loop - How to foster more risk taking with scale, and ways to think about marketing risk

Tim Doyle reposted thisTim Doyle reposted thisWe're hiring for 2 Growth interns. Paid position, working full time, for a few months. You'll write, shoot, interview, edit, make content, experiment. You'll learn from experts, build new skillsets, get tonnes of feedback and make a difference. We've had some brilliant people come through the business recently as Ops Interns, and I want to replicate that in Growth. If you're keen to apply, send me a DM or email (angus@eucalyptus.vc) with a link to something you've made that you are proud of. It can be anything. --- I've spent most of my time at Euc working on the patient-facing operations side of the business, where we have thousands of daily interactions with patients. Now I'm working in Growth. It's new for me, but the challenge feels familiar: understand people's problems, and explain clearly and persuasively how we can help. How we do that for prospective patients (through ads, content, messaging) is different than how we do it for existing patients (e.g. through calls, chat, consults). But the intent is the same. It's fun, challenging, interesting. Not least because, unlike in Ops, the patient doesn't tell you the problem directly. You have to figure out the problem yourself, then try to meet them with something that resonates. --- If that challenge gets you going, you should apply for this role and come work with us. Just DM or email (angus@eucalyptus.vc) with something you've made that you're proud of.

Tim Doyle shared thisThe longer I spend around high growth companies the more I realise that the challenge is mostly staying alive long enough to be exposed to moments of good luck, and then having the execution capability to capitalise on them. Tim Doyle liked thisNo one I’d rather have at the helm of our global ops than Josh Krueger! He’s already set the bar incredibly high and has put an operating structure in place that allows us to consistently prioritize both the safety of our customers and the efficiency of our business. As the newest member of our executive team, he’s going to play a huge role in what comes next for Hims & Hers. Congrats, Josh! Let’s keep building.Tim Doyle liked thisOver the past few years at hims & hers, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside an amazing team that consistently takes on complex challenges, finding ways to build, scale, and deliver. That’s what makes this next chapter especially exciting: Today, I’m stepping into a new role as Global SVP, Operations. Titles aside, what matters most to me is the opportunity to lead an extraordinary team and what we’ve been able to build together. I’m incredibly proud of this group. I’m not one to brag, but what this team has accomplished is nothing short of extraordinary. Within just a few years, we’ve built compounding capabilities from the ground up and scaled into one of the largest operations of its kind, all while maintaining a strong focus on quality and minimizing defects. In just two years, we nearly doubled internal fulfillment, improving both speed and cost to serve. Along the way, we’ve taken on challenges that, at the time, felt anything but certain. Developing and launching new pharmacy capabilities in Arizona and Ohio, building a proprietary Pharmacy Management System within months, scaling rapidly to support unexpected demand in weight loss, and standing up new offerings like Labs and Diagnostics in record time. At the same time, we’ve begun extending these capabilities beyond the U.S., supporting our expansion into new markets like Canada and the UK, with more to come as we continue building toward a truly global platform. None of this happens without a team of true builders who lean into complexity, move with urgency, and stay grounded in delivering for our customers. Grateful for the trust, the partnership, and the team behind all of this. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I’m energized by what we have the opportunity to build together next.

It was a privilege, therefore, to be part of the "Danish Strongholds" track during this week's Royal and business delegation visit — a week excellently coordinated by the teams at the Embassy of Denmark in Australia and Danish Industry Tuesday's session gave my colleague Elin and me a rare opportunity to present our Australian activities directly to Her Majesty Queen Mary. We touched upon the partnerships announced the day prior, on our "Marie Krogh – Young Woman in Science" Award and also the €300 million grant from the Novo Nordisk Foundation (our controlling shareholder) supporting stem cell research 🧬 at MCRI. Tim Doyle reacted on thisWarning - this is just local PHN bashing - I feel like I still need to remind the world that our PHN is useless so scroll on if this sounds boring…..also Wendy Machin I’m happy to be offered a seat on the board to fix it….just saying. This is exactly why I have no faith in my PHN to come up with grants. Take this one - on paper an ok idea - the PHN will help practices by providing sign up bonuses to expedited pathway GPs as a means of increasing workforce. Whatever - at least it’s something. But here’s where it gets dumb. So you don’t get the grant at the point of starting recruiting (nor any certainty that you will get a grant if you do recruit someone). Instead you need to go out, recruit someone, sign a contract and then MAYBE (if there’s any money left and you’re chosen) the GP will get $10k from the PHN. How is that a useful process?! So maybe if I’m lucky I might be able to give this GP a grant when they sign but I’ll have to wait and see. To all those complaining about the taxing of unrealised gains on super balances over $3 million. I intuit that you have absolutely no idea what the average or median super balance is. The average is between $140,000-$180,000 however, the median balance is only $52,000-$66,000. I suspect that, regardless of inflation, and investment compounding, the time taken to exceed $3 million will be 98.5 years* for even the best placed (median) superannuants. Calculated using starting balance of $66,000 Investment return = 7% (based on long term average market returns) Inflation rate = 3% Real interest rate = 4% Compound interest calculation = 𝐴=𝑃(1+𝑟)𝑡, where A is the future value, P is the principal, r is the interest rate, and t is the time in years. Solving for t = 98.5 years There is certainly no reason for most people to worry. Entitled over privileged individuals with millions in super already are clearly squealing, and don’t we love to watch it play out 😍 #Superannuation #Australia #Entitled #UnrealisedGains

The uncomfortable truth about “being profitable” 👀 ⬇️ This week on Strata Stories, Casey Peters sat down with Sean Healy, founder of Accounted4, to unpack why so many clinic owners feel financially stressed… even when their P&L says they’re fine. Highlights: • Profit ≠ cash flow and that gap creates real anxiety • A full schedule means nothing if you don’t know your breakeven visit number • Most financial data is unusable until it’s cleaned and structured correctly • The instinct to cut expenses can actually make cash flow worse • Sometimes the right move isn’t to fire… it’s to hire strategically • Culture never shows up on the P&L but turnover absolutely does One line that stuck with me: “Simple isn’t always easy. And common sense is rarely common practice.” If you’re a clinic owner who feels busy but financially uncertain… this episode will sharpen your thinking. Especially if you’re trying to shift from clinician-first to business-minded leader. 🎧 Link in comments.

The scale of APP 2026 is a visual proxy for a massive shift in the Australian healthcare hierarchy. Walking the floor a few weeks back, the sheer volume of capital flowing into the pharmacy sector is staggering. I’ve been through the halls of major GP, Allied health and surgical conferences. Honestly? They don't compare to the commercial gravity present here. While this growth signals opportunity, it also brings us to what Aaron Chambers calls a "Glass-Steagall" moment for Australian medicine. The vendors at APP aren't just selling clinical tools. They are selling products. Products they hope will be recommended, dispensed, and sold directly to the patient. This introduces a clear conflict of interest. When a professional's choice can be swayed by margins or retail profit, the clinical diagnosis risks becoming secondary to the transaction. Our current system isn't perfect, but thinning the wall between the prescriber and the seller creates a specific tension that the sector has yet to fully reconcile. I’m for this evolution of scope, but only if the safeguards are symmetrical. If pharmacists take on these new clinical responsibilities, they must be held to the same rigorous clinical governance and professional standards as our medical colleagues. There is no room for a "clinical-lite" version of primary care. If the expansion of pharmacy scope happens in a vacuum, we risk further fragmenting an already strained patient journey. Poor teamwork between GPs and pharmacists doesn't just create administrative friction. It erodes the very thing that makes the system work: patient trust. We are at a crossroads. Do we build a more integrated healthcare system, or do we simply build bigger silos? How do we protect the "Glass-Steagall" of medicine while still evolving the role of the pharmacist? 👇 Let’s discuss in the comments. #APP2026 #HealthcareStrategy #PharmacyReform #ClinicalGovernance #VeriHealth #PrimaryCare Veri Health Media Ellie Bakker Belinda Boyce Lyndsay Lawler Alice Caboche

Compare to your baseline, not to perfection. From our analysis and interpretation of Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service's peer-reviewed evaluation of ambient AI documentation. The key insight: documentation in routine care is created under real constraints like time pressure, template reliance, end-of-day catch-up. The right evaluation question isn't "is it perfect?" but "does it improve quality and reduce burden compared to what actually happens today?" A tool that isn't perfect may still represent meaningful improvement in a high-pressure setting. For teams considering implementation: measure your baseline explicitly before evaluating impact. Ask yourself: “Am I paying someone $40/hour to do a $30/month job?” …………… Cracking quote from Storm Menzies regarding the adoption of technology for administrative and customer service tasks. I meet with home care providers who maintain huge call centres. We know from our data that most those calls are a client… - Asking who the carer is - Asking when the carer is coming - Asking why the carer is coming - Asking if they can change their appointment And the cracker… Calling back because they couldn’t get through, so the client keeps calling until they get an answer. This CAN be simplified using systems like Checked In Care. We see a 40% reduction in calls at 30% adoption, and ROI at approximately 20% adoption. Yep, there’s an upfront cost. There’s the discomfort of change management in a sector with significant disruption. Yet the longer the delay in the financial outlay for technology, the longer it’ll take to realise the benefits. Check out the latest QFR. Skilled staff need to be utilised for skilled tasks. Or providers won’t survive. #supportathome #agedcare #ndis

Most NDIS providers fail because their back-office systems cannot talk to each other. We fixed our operational chaos by centralizing participant data into one custom source of truth. 🎯 Managing NDIS compliance without a customized CRM is like trying to build a house on shifting sand. ⏳ ⤷ Spreadsheets lead to missed audits. ⤷ Manual data entry creates billing leaks. ⤷ Fragmented notes result in poor participant care. We realized that "off-the-shelf" software often forces you to change your workflow to fit the tool. 🛠️ Instead, your technology should mirror your unique care model. By building a tailored system, we achieved: → Automated 📋 Service Booking reconciliations. → Real-time ⏱️ tracking of support worker hours. → Instant generation of audit-ready 📁 compliance reports. When your systems talk to each other, your team can finally focus on talking to participants. 🗣️ Is your current software a bottleneck or a bridge to better care? 🚀 ♻️ Repost to help a fellow provider scale. 📩 DM me to discuss custom NDIS workflows. #NdisProvider #NdisCompliance #BusinessAutomation
