I feel Notability is better for me personally. I was struggling between buying Notability or Goodnotes and I chose this. I was excited and impressed at first. I love the audio record feature. That alone is fantastic. Where I started to grow a little disappointed was when I realized you have to pay an additional $3.99 for voice recognition. Ok, no problem. I did. But other little things like not being able to adjust the color of the lines, the pages, those little things. Then there was a point where the inability to add stickers made me grow more frustrated. I couldn't understand why they were being so restrictive. Although, I do understand. They have there own marketplace for templates, etc. However, they keep it pretty thin. So, finally, I went and got Goodnotes. I tried it out for a bit and then I realized, I like Notability much more. It just feels more solid and you cant beat that record function. I also began to appreciate what they are building, a more robust platform with a marketplace to shop for templates, etc. That is awesome because GN doesnt have that. Then, little things like the fact that in Notability, you can grab a piece of writing, an item, etc., and not only move it around the page, you can resize it with pinch gestures. You cant do that in Goodnotes. In notability, you can also create stickers from your drawing or writing. Not exactly the same as allowing you to imprt stickers where it saves it as such, but its still neat. So, neither is perfect but for me, Notability is my choice.
