It's can be fun to play. But it's definitely got quirks. Besides some stupid buys at the beginning I am free to play. The games all about shot placement. Google the wind effects and know the values. You will be cruising along quickly. However there are tons of bots. Especially tournaments. Luckily they usually loose on purpose to fill the space and just keep the games moving. Tournaments would be better just solo though and not against the bots. Clash and rival both miss a great chance it allowing solo play for fun and or improvements. I mean golf is a solo game. Also I have had the game from connection at some important tiNew so I only play important rounds when I know there's no chance of an issue. Spend money if you want. You will play better but the. Just get paired with better people. I win 70% of the time and never use special ball. And am always outmatches off the green just in clubs. Usually twice as good club. As I only have earth 5 and bat 2. These are great clubs but they took 1000 games to get. Only update clubs you know are proven. Drivers stick to earth, the wheel, or bat. And research the other. Never. Waste anything in something that will be outdated a round later. Have fun. And don't lose your bank unless it's just for fun. Don't waste money on balls. Legendary cards and cards are all that help honestly. And knowing how to calculate wind. Oh yea and aim for the hole. No roll ins. You need the ball to fall straight in to be in control of the shot. Which sound crazy but you will get there. 5 stars for fun. 1 Star for programming and customer service.

Let me first say if you are the type of person that can truly just play a game to enjoy it and don’t care about advancing really far then it’s a fun game. If you are a super competitive person then plan on spending a lot of money to compete the further you advance. I’m the type that doesn’t mind spending a little on mobile games if I feel like I’m getting something for my money. That’s where the hook comes in. At first they make you feel like you are getting what you need to compete. You get all the cool clubs and they work great early on in your progression. The problem is that these clubs need to be continuously leveled as you advance. Except you rarely get the upgrades you need without spending money and even then it’s a crap shoot to get upgrades for the clubs you have. For awhile you will feel like you are really competitive but eventually you will reach a point where you are running in place. No matter how accurate you are with the controls your clubs just won’t go far enough or fade or draw enough to compete with the big spenders (which at a certain point you run into nothing but big spenders). I have reached a level as a light spender where literally everyone I play has clubs 4-5 levels higher than mine. It makes it impossible to compete no matter how accurate you are. Overall it would be a really fun game if the developing company had a clue. Many people will reach a point of frustration and just uninstall the game. It’s a shame because it could be a great game but greed wins out again.

I’ve noticed this thing called “Synchronizing” as someone who left a bad review had mentioned and I’ve noticed it quite a lot.. is it normal or is it a cheat ! I have also noticed that playing against certain people they seem to make these crazy shots and never end up in the “Ruff” or out of bounds and when it’s my turn I make a “Perfect” shot and the ball only goes 140 yards if that with the wind blowing at a straight 8 in the direction I’m shooting !! It makes no sense why but in actuality I realize every game has people that need to make themselves feel better about their OWN “shortcomings” that they probably deal with in real life ! 🤣 I guess it’s human nature and it will always be apart of this system (Online-Cyberworld) where they can be Godly in a Game !!! Other thing I’ve Noticed in the Reviews/Comments of Golf Rival is that you (The Creators of this Game) don’t seem to be helpful when it comes to problems or issues within your game that 100’s of Thousands if not more people spend money on !! I’m an IT Specialist and I’ll leave it at that but you need to address your customers Issues and concerns!! I’ve left my own as well with in this review!! I hope to hear back something because I’ve paid $$$$!!! As well as to my previous review and the Main Issue I brought up in that one that I’ve noticed in many of your other customers Reviews and that needs to be FIXED or you’ll start losing Customers! I’ve seen it many times!! Just saying ! Thanks And hopefully I’ll hear back and my problem will be addressed !

The competitiveness does need to shift is the reason I give it a 3. 1. Not right to be placing someone who has been playing thousands more games than you because hmm obviously they have clubs that are supposed to be far upgraded than yours. (I see this probably significantly when you move to next stages.)2. This is a two parter, people who pay for stuff and game modes. I see someone who has 100 kangaroo balls like 120 black balls, upgraded Bat Wings to like level 5-6 so on it’s like ok your already driving the ball an extra 100+ yards than me great it’s a waste of time. Also really hurts in the Draws it’s like hmm I have maybe 3 balls of each, this person has all these upgrades on my same stage level I don’t stand a chance besides to get lucky they miss fire!!! So I say make a stage mode or some sort of feature that levels it out to just skill. Nobody should have x30 more balls than you, nobody should have a Bat Wing level 2 and facing someone at level 6 and so on with the other clubs. Put those players using some algorithm facing one another so it gives the playing field a little more even. For instance I love the concept when finding opponent you can adjust your setting “No special balls” “Clubs within one ranking up any legendary or free game for all the base level clubs etc” if that means you lower the ranking trophy boost from 60 down to 30 or whatever so be it but at least the game is more fair and gives you a chance against equal level opponents.
