Just one week on from winning two awards at the NYC Webby Awards, Veritasium is now shortlisted for Best Specialist Factual Programme at the Broadcast Digital Awards 2026. A massive well done to the Veritasium team including Derek Muller, Gregor Čavlović and Zoë Heron for exceptional scientific journalism. Two Webby awards collected. More than 35 people celebrated! This week, Veritasium's writer/directors Gregor Čavlović and Henry van Dyck attended The Webby Awards 2026, taking home the People's Choice Awards for Best Creator-to-Creator Collaboration and Best Longform Video. Behind every frame is a team of more than 35, passionate about crafting high-quality science content. A special mention to Executive Producer Zoë Heron, whose leadership across both projects was central to bringing them to life. Well done to the entire Veritasium team.

What happens when you take the formula behind one of YouTube's most trusted channels and expand it beyond aviation? We're proud to reveal our newest channel, Mentour's Black Box. Black Box goes beyond the cockpit, investigating the catastrophic failures across cities, ports, dams and more that could have been prevented if safety and procedure had been followed. Over the past twelve months, our Electrify team has refined the concept alongside Petter Hörnfeldt and key members of the Mentour Pilot team to make sure every aspect is cohesive and ready for launch. Last week we hosted our 8th all-company offsite in Budapest! People flew in from across Europe, the US, Australia and beyond. Nearly 100 team members. More than 20 nationalities. It was a chance to step away from Slack and Google Meet and spend real time together. One of Electrify’s real superpowers is the collaboration between creator teams, where great ideas spread across the company. And it wasn’t all slides and workshops.. we made sure to enjoy the city too! Escape rooms. Food tours. And an incredible 80s boat party on the Danube! These few days each year matter a lot. Last week, Veritasium hit 20 million subscribers alongside one of Derek Muller's most personal videos yet: "Am I retiring?"
