The Gramophone is a music player in Moonlight Peaks that is essential for one of the trees to grow fruit. Finding it used to be a stroke of luck, but August 20, 2026, added Patch 1.2.3 to Moonlight Peaks, which made obtaining the Gramophone less about luck and more about funds. You can find out how to get the Gramophone below and what you can use it for!
How to Get the Gramophone in Moonlight Peaks
Since the 1.2.3 Patch, you can now buy the red Gramophone from The Broken Lamp for 2,000 coins. Other color variations are still a random spawn at the Howling Hammer.
Before the patch, you used to have to wait for the Gramophone to show up in the Howling Hammers shop or with Yabbis and purchase it for 1,000 coins. This was a random spawn and could take several seasons before the item appeared, delaying your ability to grow a Muse Tree, which requires the music to progress.
How to Get to the Broken Lamp in Moonlight Peaks
The Broken Lamp is Samael's bar on the East side of town. Go into the main Moonlight Peaks area, all the way down to the docks on the Southeast corner, and the building at the edge of the town is The Broken Lamp. Talk to Samael when it's open to bring up the buying menu. There is a furniture tab where you'll find the Gramophone at the bottom of the listings.
If you have the Catacombs unlocked, don't forget you can use them as a faster path to get into The Broken Lamp.
How to Use the Gramophone in Moonlight Peaks
The Muse Tree is one of the many crops you can grow in Moonlight Peaks, but it requires the Gramophone. Place the Gramophone next to the Muse Tree after you plant it, interact with the Gramophone to turn it on, and make sure the music is playing to help the seed and sprout grow.
Check the Gramophone each day by making sure your Muse Tree is dancing back and forth. If it isn't, turn the Gramophone off and back on to ensure the Muse Tree will continue to grow.
