Gameloft announced another Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion called The Keepsake Sea. The upcoming expansion centers on a new seafaring chapter of the hit game and will add Captain Jack Sparrow to the Disney Dreamlight Valley character roster.
Since leaving early access in December 2023, Gameloft's popular life sim has received three paid expansion passes and one Adventure Pack. Its latest addition, Honeyglow Woods, was a smaller Winnie-the-Pooh-themed add-on that joined Disney Dreamlight Valley in July 2026. However, 2026 has yet to see a major expansion, which is where The Keepsake Sea comes into play.
The Keepsake Sea Expansion Teaser Premiered at D23
The first official teaser for The Keepsake Sea premiered during the "Your Dream, Your Valley: Disney Dreamlight Valley" panel at the D23 convention in Anaheim on August 14. Held at 12:30 p.m. local time on the Hyperion Stage, the panel was billed as both a retrospective on the game and a preview of upcoming 2026 content. The D23 presentation ultimately revealed the name of the expansion that Gameloft had teased in June, in addition to confirming that Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean will be joining the game as part of its next content drop.
The D23 teaser does not actually show Jack Sparrow, instead ending with his shadow cast across the sand. Gameloft has yet to clarify which characters will accompany him in The Keepsake Sea, but based on the developer's established crossover practices, the upcoming expansion is all but certain to include multiple new villagers. Gameloft has also yet to commit to a specific release date, saying only that the paid add-on is targeting an late 2026 launch, with a detailed gameplay showcase stream planned for October. That timing would put The Keepsake Sea on course to debut just ahead of the first anniversary of Disney Dreamlight Valley's Wishblossom Ranch DLC.

Gameloft's hit life sim has featured a Pirates of the Caribbean item category since update 1.7, which rolled out for PC and consoles in September 2023. Officially titled Enchanted Adventure, the patch explicitly advertised new Disney Dreamlight Valley Star Path cosmetics inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean, in addition to those based on The Haunted Mansion, Hocus Pocus, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Players wanting to start decorating their valleys in preparation for Jack Sparrow's arrival can thus already embrace the pirate theme using furniture such as the Chalice of Cartagena, Cortés Chest, Fountain of Youth, Mao Kun Map Table, and the Pirate Ship Chandelier, among plenty of others. Like the first three expansions, The Keepsake Sea will be available for the latest two generations of Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo consoles, as well as iOS devices.
