Baldur's Gate 3: All Recruitable Allies & How to Get Them (Gather Your Allies)

In Baldur's Gate 3, there are numerous unique and intriguing individuals you can encounter, befriend, or defeat in battle. Depending on the decisions that you make during your adventure, many of these individuals can be recruited as allies for your final battle against the Netherbrain.

This quest is known as Gather Your Allies and is one of the main objectives that will be present for yourself and your party throughout all three Acts of the game. As many of these allies will need specific criteria to be met to be recruited for the final battle, knowing what requirements must be met for each individual can be extremely helpful, especially if you are seeking out certain individuals to have by your side.

Ally Name	Abilities/Perks	How to Recruit
Auntie Ethel	Veil of the Wierd: Channel Auntie Ethel's magic to render 5 creatures within range Invisible.	During the fight against her in Act 1, you can strike a deal with her by getting her to low HP and letting her initiate conversation with you. Later on in Act 3, she can be recruited an an ally. If you have previously killed her or denied her offer, then she can still be found under the disguise of Captain Grisly. You will need to kill Lora for Auntie Ethel to initiate another deal with you, joining you in the final battle.
Halsin	Spirit of the Land: Affected entities gain +1 to all Ability Scores, +2m Movement Speed.	In Act 1, complete the Rescue the Druid Halsin quest and keep Halsin alive. In Act 1, you must stop the Emerald Grove ritual and save the Tieflings. In Act 2, protect Isobel from Marcus and ensure she stays alive. In Act 2, complete the Wake Up Art Cullagh and Life the Shadow Curse quests.
Volo	Volo's Guide to Monsters: +2 to Attack Rolls, Saving Throws and Ability Checks.	In Act 1, rescue Volo from the Goblin Camp. In Act 3, save Volo from his captors at Steel Watch Foundry in Lower City.
Dammon & Owlbear	Battle-Ready Owlbear: Summon your Owlbear Cub, all grown up and ready to rage; in full armour.	In Act 1, save the Tieflings. In Act 1, recruit the Owlbear Cub. In Act 2, save Isobel from Marcus and ensure she stays alive. in Act 2, ensure the Nightsong/Aylin is not sacrificed.
Arabella	Weavewalker: One must remove all obstacles to follow one's destiny. Arabella's favour grants affected entities Freedom of Movement.	In Act 1, save Arabella from Kagha, and then ensure you save the Tieflings. In Act 2, complete the Find Arabella's Parents quest. In Act 3, find Arabella in Lower City Sewers, where she will join you for the final battle.
Mol	Fetcher's Favour: Affected entities can cast Rays of Fire, reduce all Fire damage by 5 and gain additional 1d4 to Charisma checks and Saving Throws.	In Act 1, save the Tieflings. In Act 3, visit Mol at the Guildhall, and learn about her contract with Raphael. You will now need to steal her contract from the House of Hope. Once this is done, she will agree to join you in the final battle.
Mizora	Mizora, Agent of Avernus: Summon Mizora to join your side in battle.	Ensure Wyll's Pact is not broken In Act 2, complete The Blade of Frontiers by saving Mizora at the Mind Flayer Colony. In Act 3, speak with Mizora at Wyrm's Rock, causing her to appear and remain at your camp upon the next Long Rest. Speak to Mizora, and choose the dialogue option "If you're going to be staying, I need something in return."
Yurgir	Hellstalker Yurgir: Summon Yurgir to join your side in battle.	In Act 3, enter the House of Hope. Prior to battling Raphael, speak to Yurgir and pass the DC 30 Persuasion Check to have him assist you in your fight against Raphael. If Yurgir is successfully persuaded and Raphael is defeated, then he will aid you in the final battle.
Isobel	Balm of the Moonmaiden: Heal 14d6 up to 6 nearby allies.	In Act 2, save Isobel from Marcus and ensure she stays alive. In Act 2, ensure the Nightsong/Aylin is spared by Shadowheart. In Act 3, complete the Find the Nightsong with Aylin free.
Dame Aylin	Sword of the Silverlight: Summon Dame Aylin, to join your side in battle.	In Act 2, ensure the Nightsong/Aylin is spared by Shadowheart. In Act 3, complete the Find the Nightsong with Aylin free.
Jaheira	Silver Harp Squadron: Summon 3 elite Harper archers, to join your side in battle.	In Act 2, recruit Jaheria. In Act 3, complete The High Harper and ensure Minsc is left alive.
Valeria	The Watch: Summon three City Watch great weapon fighters.	In Act 3 complete Solve the Open Hand Temple Murders and Investigate the Murders, and reject the Murder Tribunal during Impress the Murder Tribunal. Valeria can be found chained up near the side of the Tribunal, where she can be rescued and recruited.
Rolan	Rolan's Firestorm: Call upon Rolan, to unleash a fiery barrage from the Ramazith's Tower. Deals 10d6 Fire damage + 10d6 Force damage.	In Act 1, save the Tieflings. In Act 2, save Isobel from Marcus and ensure she stays alive. In Act 2, ensure you save Cal and Lia. In Act 3, find Rolan at Sorcerous Sundries. Complete the Find the Nightsong quest and side with Dame Aylin against Lorroakan to have Rolan take over Ramazith's Tower. He will now join you in the final battle.
Ulder Ravengard	Rallied: Galvanising word and will of Duke Ravengard runs hot through your veins - gain 30 temporary hit points.	Ensure you rescue Ulder Ravengard during the Rescue the Grand Duek quest in Act 3. This can be achieved by keeping Wyll's pact with Mizora, or through the Save the Gondians quest.
Counsellor Florrick	Florrick's Cohort: Summon 3 highly defensive melee fighters that utilize reach	In Act 1, save Counsellor Florrick from the burning building at Waukeen's Rest. In Act 3, free Counsellor Florrick from Wyrm's Rock Prison to complete the Free Counsellor Florrick quest.
Lorroakan	Lorroakan's Firestorm: Call upon Rolan, to unleash a fiery barrage from the Ramazith's Tower. Deals 10d6 Fire damage + 10d6 Force damage.	In Act 2, ensure the Nightsong/Aylin is saved. In Act 3, complete Find the Nightsong and help Lorroakan capture Dame Aylin.
Nine-Fingers Keene	Guildmaster Keene's Fixers: Summon two elite assassin mercenaries.	In Act 3 during the Aid the Underduke quest, side with the the Guild and keep Nine-Fingers Keene alive.
Zhentarim	Black Fist Enforcers: Summon two elite assassin mercenaries from the Zhentarim's ranks.	In Act 3, during the Aid the Underduke quest, overthrow the Guild.
Barcus	Ironhand Grenadiers: Summon 2 Ironhand Gnomes, who can throw blinding bombs and shoot Smokepowder Arrows.	In Act 1, complete the Rescue the Gnome quest and ensure you keep Barcus alive. In Act 2, complete the Save the Grymforge Gnomes and Rescue Wulbren quests with Wulbren kept alive. In Act 3, complete the Deal with the Gnomes, Avenge the Ironhands, and Save the Gondians quests while ensuring the Gondian's families are saved. You must then advocate for the Gondians and Ironhand Gnomes to work together under Barcus in dialogue.
Wulbren	Ironhand Grenadiers: Summon 2 Ironhand Gnomes, who can throw blinding bombs and shoot Smokepowder Arrows.	In Act 2, complete the Rescue Wulbrenn quest and ensure Wulbren stays alive. In Act 3, complete the Deal with the Gnomes and Avenge the Ironhands quests with the Steel Watch disabled
Ulma	Gur Huntwardens: Summon two Gur warriors and a Sharpshooter.	In Act 3, defeat Cazador and stop the Black Mass Ritual, completing the Investigate Cazador's Palace quest.
Ascendant Astarion	Retinue of the Vampire Lord: Summon 2 Shadows, 2 Giant Skeletons, a Ghast, a Shadow Mastiff and a Werewolf.	In Act 3, defeat Cazador and complete the Black Mass Ritual to help Astarion Ascend.
Viconia	Nightbringer's Shadow Adepts: Summon two Sharran Novices and two Sharran Fidelians.	In Act 2, ensure the Nightsong/Aylin is kept alive. In Act 3, complete the Investigate the House of Grief quest and betray Shadowheart by turning her over to Viconia.
Kith'rak Voss	Kith'raki Inferno: Command the red dragon of Supreme Kith'rak Voss to breathe a Wall of Fire onto the battlefield. 12d6 Fire damage.	In Act 3, complete the Help Kith'rak Voss quest and retrieve the Orphic Hammer from the House of Hope. Free Orpheus, or pass a DC 30 Persuasion check or DC 30 Deception check Kith'rak Voss confronts you.
Sharran Shadowheart	Nightbringer's Shadow Adepts: Summon two Sharran Novices and two Sharran Fidelians.	In Act 2, ensure Shadowheart kills the Nightsong/Aylin. in Act 3, complete the Investigate the House of Grief quest by helping Shadowheart to overthrow Viconia DeVir and become the next Sharran leader.
Bhaal	A Most Bloody Inheritance: The Dread Lord Bhaal looks favorably on his chosen. You can cast Stunning Gaze and your Critical Hit Attack Roll requirement is reduced by 2. This effect can stack.	In Act 3, defeat Orin. then choose to become Bhaal's Chosen. (Dark Urge only)
