A new game coming to Xbox Game Pass is all about players building their own cults, with Join Us bringing chaotic co-op fun with survival elements. The game will be available Day One on Xbox Game Pass, as well as being eligible for Xbox Play Anywhere.
The Xbox Games Showcase was filled with a plethora of exciting announcements, both from Microsoft and its major third-party developers. Xbox shared a multitude of new updates for some of its biggest upcoming titles, including Fable, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and Clockwork Revolution. Microsoft's big presentation also featured plenty of big games from other developers, such as Atlus showing off Persona 4 Revival and revealing Persona 6. One new game featured during the showcase is now putting players in the shoes of a cult leader, looking to convert the world to their faith.

Join Us Lets Players Build Their Own Cult
Developer Wolf Haus Games officially revealed Join Us during the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase, providing a first look at the gameplay. The game puts players in charge of starting their own cult, tasking them with building their compound, deciding on their cult's beliefs, and surviving in the wild. The game also includes combat elements requiring players to fight against law enforcement and other enemies who are trying to take down the cult. Join Us will support both single-player and four-player co-op, with fans able to team up to build their dream cult. Join Us is scheduled for release in March 2027, with the game also coming to Steam and the Epic Games Store alongside Xbox.
The reveal trailer for Join Us promises plenty of wacky fun for its new cult leaders. Join Us will feature extensive survival game elements for players to manage and grow their compound, including a farming system, customizing the layout of their home base, and managing their cultists. The game will put a variety of different weapons at the player's disposal for dispatching their enemies, from guns and melee weapons to a bus equipped with machine gun turrets. The trailer even shows off some wild scenarios playing out in the game, with players able to potentially summon the god of their cult.
Managing the player's cult is expected to be a major part of Join Us, with a variety of different cult activities. Each character in the cult will have their own strengths and weaknesses, providing different benefits to the player after joining the cult. The trailer teases different things players can do with their cult members, showing off what appear to be prayer segments and ritual dances with other players. The trailer even teases summoning aliens for the cult, with a massive UFO appearing in the skies above the player's compound.

Xbox's big annual presentation was just one part of a bevy of recent reveals coinciding with the start of Summer Game Fest. The opening presentation for Summer Game Fest featured some huge reveals, including Resident Evil Veronica and Final Fantasy 7 Revelation. Nintendo is also heavily rumored to be planning a big presentation of its own for early June, with a new Nintendo Direct reportedly set to air on either June 9 or June 10. The start of summer is always an exciting time for the gaming industry, with Summer Game Fest kicking off a plethora of major announcements.
