2026 loves otherworldly adventures, as the year is packed with isekai anime that will strive to entertain or bemuse audiences.

Based on the trailers released thus far, Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 is going to be an action-packed season, with Will Serfort and allies seemingly dealing with dungeon monsters above ground instead of staying underground. The final exams are also underway, making Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 a crucial installment for Will Serfort’s chances to reach Elfie, the love of his life.

Will Serfort Takes the Graduation Exams

In the magic-dominated world of Wistoria, Will Serfort is often called "No-Talent" for his inability to wield magic. Unlike his childhood friend Elfie, a magic prodigy who became the youngest Magia Vander in history, Will just doesn’t have the knack for it. That doesn’t mean Will is weak, as the young boy excels in anything related to swords and physical abilities, making him an anomaly in the series.

The first season of Wistoria has already established Will Serfort’s ultimate goal and that is to reach Elfie and fulfill his promise to her no matter what happens. He wants to see the sunrise and sunset with Elfie, fight by her side as her personal knight, and just be with her forever through sickness and health, like they always did when they were young. That goal, however, is still far from being fulfilled, as Will must prove himself diligently.

By the end of the first season, Will Serfort had made considerable progress. The entire school now treats him better, including its most promising students, from Sion and Julius to Lianna and Wignall. Following the All-Student Praxis accident, Will needs to pass the graduation exams with flying colors to get one step closer to his ultimate dream. But is it really possible for a non-magic user to accomplish this?

Will Serfort Meets Finn

As a refresher, the Magia Vanders are the most gifted magic users in Wistoria, and Elfie is one of them. They also exist to maintain peace in the fantasy world, making sure that the barrier or the false sky remains intact. Will Serfort wants to be a Magia Vander too, but his inability to use magic makes it nearly impossible to accomplish such an ambitious dream. Even his professor, Edward, doubts his ability, that is, until Will proves himself worthy of staying in the academy with his physical prowess.

It’s almost as if Will Serfort is the “Toji Fushiguro” or “Maki Zenin” of Wistoria, as the young man is physically gifted but incapable of using magic. When it comes to battles that mages can’t conquer with their wands, Will comes forward with his sword, swinging it with raw power and precision to cut down monsters and other enemies that magic alone can’t handle.

Just recently, Will Serfort met Finn, a young man who was with the King of the Magia Vanders. Clearly, Finn is interested in Will Serfort, especially after seeing the latter’s incredible phenomenal display of power against the Grand Duke. After all, for the first time, someone like Will combined the power of magic and sword, creating a fighting style that defies the rules of the world.
