As players explore the map and level up in Vampire Crawlers, they will obtain more cards for their deck. Gamers will play their cards until Mana depletes and their turn ends. The order in which they play their cards and the type of card they select will greatly influence the outcome of the battle, whether that's due to the damage dealt to their enemies or how much they're able to improve their stats.
How Duration Works in Vampire Crawlers
It is crucial that players understand how the Duration stat works in Vampire Crawlers, so they can work on it in the early game.
Players can make the most of each turn in battle by starting combos and getting a higher multiplier. This guide tells players how they can consistently build up a combo multiplier and increase their benefits every turn in Vampire Crawlers.
How to Start a Combo in Vampire Crawlers
To start a combo in Vampire Crawlers, gamers have to play cards whose Mana value is in ascending order, and they cannot skip any numbers in between cards.
For example, in order to make a combo, they can play a card that requires 0 Mana, followed by one that costs 1 Mana, and then one that costs 2 Mana, and so on. They cannot, however, go from 0 Mana cards to 2 Mana cards.
- Combo: -1 > 0 > 1 > 2
- Not a combo: -1 > 1 > 2
As the players' combo increases, so does the multiplier. This means that card effects or damage output will increase as their combo gets higher. Players must then carefully analyze the cards in their hand and decide the right order in order to maximize gains.
The location where the card's Mana cost is indicated will glow if a combo will continue once that card is played.
These are just the basics of combo building in Vampire Crawlers. And since cards don't usually cost more than 5 Mana, it might seem hard to build combos that go beyond that. However, there are plenty of ways to get combos going for longer.
Ways to Continue a Combo in Vampire Crawlers
To beat tougher enemies and survive their mighty attacks, gamers will have no choice but to master combo building in Vampire Crawlers. Knowing how to start a combo is the first step to getting high multipliers, and the second one is knowing how to keep combos going once you've reached your highest Mana card.
Wild Cards
Wild Cards don't have a Mana value, so players can use them at any time to easily keep a combo going; they won't spend any Mana, and they make it possible for players to go from a high Mana card to a low Mana card.
- Wild Card Combo: -1 > 0 > 1 > 2 > 3 > 4 > 5 > W > -1
Players can get Wild Cards by leveling up, using the Wild gem, or searching light sources. Cards such as the Friendship Amulet and Wings are great because they aren't destroyed after being used.
Attractorb & Bracer
Players will eventually run out of cards, but they can continue to grab them from their deck with the Attractorb. If they've already begun to set up a high, the Attractorb's effect will receive benefits from the multiplier, allowing them to grab several cards from their deck. They can take it even further by playing the Bracer, which increases the number of cards players pull from the deck.
With this card combination, gamers won't have to worry about running out of players or losing a combo due to a lack of options. They should, however, keep a few Empty Tomes cards, so they can replenish their Mana. And they must be careful when pulling cards from the discard pile and replaying them one too many times, as they might summon The Trickster.
Gems and Arcanas
There are certain gems and arcanas that facilitate combo building. Players can make it so combos don't end when gamers select End Turn by using the Chain Link arcana.
As for the gems, they should consider the Easy Combo gem, the Reverse Combo, and the Wild gem. While there is no guarantee that the desired gems will appear in the dungeon, gamers can increase their chances of this happening by using the Jeweler at the Blacksmith shop in the village.
