Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Pre-Order Bonus and Release Date Are Now Official

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is coming in early 2027, and fans who pre-order either the standard or deluxe edition will get some throwback cosmetic bonuses. Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis returns Lara Croft to her roots, reimagining the 1996 classic in Unreal Engine 5.

Now under the game publishing arm of Amazon, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is Crystal Dynamics' big-budget return to Lara Croft following a series of troubling times for the studio after Square Enix sold it. Revealed during The Game Awards 2025, Legacy of Atlantis is the first of two upcoming Lara Croft projects. Following Legacy of Atlantis, Tomb Raider: Catalyst is next up on the list of upcoming Lara Croft stories, slated for release in 2027. However, it seems like Legacy of Atlantis will be releasing closer to Catalyst than previously thought.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Is Coming in Early 2027 with Some Throwback Pre-order Bonuses

As announced during Sony's State of Play event on June 2, 2026, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will now release on February 12, 2027, with pre-orders live on all console and PC storefronts. Additionally, Legacy of Atlantis will feature three editions of the game: a standard version for $59.99, a deluxe edition for $69.99, and a Collector's Edition for $199.99, with some fun pre-order bonuses calling back to Tomb Raider's past. Fans who pre-order the standard edition will receive the Survivor Outfit, harkening back to the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot, while Deluxe Edition pre-orders will be treated to a throwback Parisian Fugitive Outfit from Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, 48-hour early launch access, and a post-launch DLC story pack.

Meanwhile, the Collector's Edition of Legacy of Atlantis will feature a few more trinkets, such as a steelbook case, Lara Croft vs. The T-Rex statue, a mini artbook, a Croft Signet pin, and an Atlantean Talisman Keychain. All editions will include everything that was in the prior edition as well. As a remake of the original Tomb Raider, it seems like Crystal Dynamics is taking the opportunity to celebrate multiple eras of Lara Croft with its pre-order bonuses, and at prices that seem slightly lower than standard MSRP for current AAA games. However, there was one more big announcement made for Legacy of Atlantis.

Crystal Dynamics has also announced that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, day-and-date with consoles and PC, on February 12, 2027. This marks the only other big-budget Tomb Raider game to come to Switch 2 besides the recent port of the 2013 reboot. The studio states that Legacy of Atlantis will run with all the same fluidity and cinematic scale as its PS5 and Xbox Series X counterparts.

Although originally thought to be released later in 2026, it seems like Legacy of Atlantis seems to be steering clear of the September video game storm happening in 2026, and also getting as far away from the upcoming November release of GTA 6 as possible. Much like Fable, it seems like Crystal Dynamics would rather take its time with the next Tomb Raider game than try to pack it into an already busy fall release schedule. Moreover, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version not having pre-orders live yet, perhaps more time was needed to ensure the port was ready for launch. Whatever the case, it seems like 2027 will be a busy year for Tomb Raider fans.
